I totally agree - after trying out multiple faces I settled on Infograph also. I can see at a glance the day and date, the next upcoming event, my battery level, and the temperature range and current temp at my present location, as well as when it will rain or snow next ,and the digital time. I still have 2 more complications unused, which I may fill in as time goes on. But as it stands, I can see all the info I commonly need at a quick glance, and if I need more details I can get it with one press. Since I am a boomer I prefer an analog watch face, which allows me to glance at my watch for an instant to know the time without having to engage my left hemisphere at all.
@@IPreferPepsi-js2ev I recommend trying out various watch faces and settling on what feels most useful for you. I went for months with 3 or 4 faces, switching between them and tweaking. I settled on a face that provides room for a number of complications because that gives me access to various functions right from the watch face. I prefer an analog face because that's what I'm used to after decades of wearing mechanical watches. But that's me. You should experiment and find what works for you. That's the advantage of the Apple Watch - you can configure it in thousands of different ways.
I use Nike Hybrid the most. It has 5 complications instead of 4, there is one additional on the ring. And it has a digital dial what I prefer. Solar Dial is my second favourite. (With digital dial too...) Not only because it is spectacular, but you can read out instantly the sunset and sunrise times, which are useful in wintertime. (So it has an additional in built complication for me...) The 4 corners are free to customize. Solar analog for festive occasions, with only date and step count as complications. I love that it is simple and classy. I use this 3 faces the most. Infograph has the most complications but it hard to read the exact time, and for me, esthetically not pleasing. There are some good 3rd party watchfaces, which add complications which compress more data into one single complication. (par example: "wather with temp+rain+min and max temp+clouds" or step count + heart rate) They mostly use Meridian as watchface, and 4 custom made graphic complications make the watchface unique. For me Facer seems to be the best 3rd party solution.
I have an Ultra and I really like the Wayfinder.. 9 or 10 complications using the compass ring with Latitude and Longitude. Plus it looks cool in night mode!
Metropolitan is so clean it looks the most like a classic watch to me, lots to customize the look especially with being able to stretch or compact the numerals and ofc the four complications. Perfect balance of a good look, practical-to-read time, and useful info
I had been using your number two choice since I've had an Apple watch. I just changed to your number one. I will try it for a while. Love the number of apps easily accessible.
Since I first got my Apple Watch I had most of the time always used Modular. Coming across this though, I am going to give Infograph a shot to see how I like it. Already, I hope for a way to change the color of the watch arms. Aside from that, I think that is really my only complaint about the face at the moment.
Infograph is indeed the Watch face with most complications and have used it a lot. But - since WatchOS 10 I have a very analog traditional Watch face and the I use the crown to scroll down to the additional “complications” like weather, activity, shares and so on.
@@helloworld8020Absolutely. The developers of Infograph and Apple OS should allow the clock needles capable of showing what’s under the needles by making them translucent or change contrast or something like that. It’ll be the perfect face ever then.
I find the modular ones to be the most useful ones. Using Modular Ultra as my main and Modular for my work focus. I find round watch faces look pretty weird and don't fit well the rectangular shape of the watch.
The only face I use is the photographs with day/date/time and today’s exercise details. Whekn things get stressful it reminds me of what is really important.
im a toss between "solar" and "ULtra Modular" as my primay faces with the ultra modular you have 7 widgets that you can add to the face 8 if you change the seconds display to altitude or depth
Great video! Thank you for sharing your test results! I really appreciate it very much as it hones into the best ones for me to try. This saves me a lot of time.
You add these watch faces by going into your “watch” app on your iPhone, and going over to the “face gallery” tab at the bottom of the screen! There you can select any of these and customize them and set it as your current watch face 😇
@Nathan, Very nice review presented by you that will surely help lot of people struggling to figure out right watch face for them. Can you please help me with the colour of Infograph watch face shown in the video.
Infograph is bad due to small time size so it’s not the best the one with 4 corners of info or modular duo is best also Nike compact is pretty good too it’s like modular compact

I didn't even bother watching as this video won't show the most usable watch face, the Modular Ultra, because it's a regular Apple Watch Series. The Ultra also has the most usable screen, as it's straight and doesn't glare at the edges like the curved screen on the regular Apple Watch Series. Also, the Ultra has better glass protection because it's recessed into the case, not to mention sapphire.
Infograph all day long. Messages, current temp, high and low temp, next event, day, date, pic of daughter and wife for touch call or text, time, Apple Pay, timer, workouts. Without a doubt the best for me.

Fitbit is google doomed Absolute must on watch face 1. battery 2. complete date (retired sometimes need to look) 3. steps (10,000 to 15,000 a day) 4. heartbeat (resting 49 to 54) 5. time in large digital #'s (old fat and ugly need glasses)
Modular Ultra for my Ultra watch and Modular for my series 9. I tend to like the digital times better. Why would I want a face that looks like a regular watch? Boring! 😀
I find the Snoopy watch face the most useful. It makes me smile and some days I just need to smile 😊
Love snoopy 🥰
For me, I generally use Micky Mouse (in the original Black & White) -- but the Snoopy animations are great!
Mine too who doesn’t love snoopy , they added more snoopy faces in 17.3 . You’ll have 2 snoopys to pick from not just 1 , so I just switch.
