He literally said total wait time was 6 mins, did you watch the short?
Yeah, the line move quick
Go between 10:30 and 11 and you can get both lunch and breakfast.. you’re welcome lol. You also eat free on your birthday with your id present!! It’s a win win lol
😂😂😂
The funny thing is I was visiting Pennsylvania and wanted to see Amish country. So I rented a car in Philadelphia and drove. I randomly ended up at this place and it blew my mind. Food's good for the price and the selection's crazy.
I've been there as well. It's one of my favorite places. Found out about this place 16 years ago. And I also love the store they have downstairs as well.
Truly one of the best meals I've ever had was at this place. The corn fritters are criminally delicious
Man, I love a good buffet
The food looks kinda disgusting though. Reminds me of my college dining hall.
@@ogreenitweaking if you think that looks disgusting in the slightest. All that food looked good and the lowest atleast looked decent, especially that omelette that looked damn near perfect
@@ogreeni it's the good sloppy low class food that i love
Been to shady maple a couple of times. I did a family style dinner one time there too… they just cooked a thanksgiving style dinner and kept bringing you fresh dishes of it til you told them to stop. It was crazy good.
Planning my trip now 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thanks bc yes I will wake up at 5 am from NYC for all that deliciousness
It’s cool how they cut donuts in half. This way you can see what’s inside and also pick one half of you are just want a bite or two.
From Reading, PA and can confirm Shady Maple is life. Their dinner menu is even better IMO, and their fried chicken is to die for.
Stay safe in Reading my dude, not the earliest places to live
Hey, fellow resident!!!
@@49ersfaithfulforever90that’s why you live in one of the good towns surrounding it. I would kill myself if I had to live in the middle of reading
Is it really that good? I've never been much in reading apart from living in walking distance to it, haven't done much there
$15 is a good deal truly. Also the food looks quality.
I live about 20 minutes away, and I go every chance I can (which isn't often because of work). The evening buffets are themed and are great, too. For instance, Monday is steak night and they have several stations with people cooking steaks however you like with a huge assortment of salad fixings, all types of sides and the desserts are delicious. If you want a good buffet, go on Tuesday which is seafood night, you will not be disappointed.
I’ve been there 2 times over the last 8 years & it was overwhelming with all the options!
You had to do a walkabout to get the layout, and prioritize what you wanted. Otherwise you’d end up stuffed & see something you would have preferred over what you randomly gobbled without a plan. 😅❤
I love shady maple! It’s located in Lancaster County Pa but the town it’s called East Earl, PA.
Tell me you’re from the area without telling me you’re from the area 😆
@@EncryptedRug I’m not from the area, I’ve just been there for a couple of events 😊
Damn bruh you just unlocked a memory I've definitely been there before
I'm going to Lancaster this November. Time to put this one into the itinerary! Yum.
Being from PA this is a state treasure. It's unreal. Love it!
I agree. Shady Maple is the place to go. It’s amazing how many people they feed. Love the place.
I've been there!!! Their sausage and scrapple are house made! Seriously, the food was outstanding, especially for the price.
What is a scrapple?
@@Kloops spiced breakfast meat that is kind of like a sausage and pancake mixed together, made from leftover meats (scraps). It's incredible
@@Kloopsoh it's so gross and bland. I'm from Lancaster county PA; I have been convinced to eat on two non consecutive occasions....by method of extortion.
@@DoctorFeuerScrapple is NOTHING like a pancake. It’s pork scraps combined with seasonings, cornmeal, and flour, and formed into a mush block, then fried. Sounds gross, but is amazing!
@@Xenogears76if you describe scrapple as bland you either had dogshit quality scrapple or you don't understand what bland means.
Been there many times. It is the absolute best! Mind blowing🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you for sharing. The last time I was able to attend a smorgasbord was in the 1960s. Would love to live in PA..
Looks so good!
I’ve been here and can say the food is amazing!!!!!
It's been many years since I had been there, and it was amazing back then!
it looks really good
Some people must go after they have the health inspectors go through.

Guys its actually $17.50 i live 20 min away and was there a few months ago but trust me it’s definitely worth it and the food is fresh from the surrounding farms
$17.50 is not much of a difference compared to $15.
Yes price increase should naturally be expected not a problem to pay more for freshness ,quantity & quality food… it’s definitely a steal even at $20.00 ❤❤❤#Iamtheirbiggestfan 😊
went on our way back from a middle school field trip a while back. place was HUGE. but feel like i didn’t get the full experience since i was still super young and didn’t spend much time there lol
I would go with my family when we visited my grandparents because they lived close to shady maple and the food is absolutely amazing it’s so good highly recommend
I love that area. My aunt lives nearby and their shady maple grocery store is awesome too. Lots of great Amish stuff and businesses.
Go to Dieners or Yoder's. Not as much food , but tastier and plenty of it too
@@BeAHappyCamper2Day this is a 100% lie.
My man! As a local that grew up going here for breakfast i can confirm that Shady maple rules.
Did you read their restaurant inspections ? They are huge. Haven't you ever eaten at Dinners or Yoder's restaurants. ? Smaller buffets, but great. SM went downhill over the years. I haven't been there in awhile , but am disappointed every time I went back
I went there as a kid once. I had no idea it was the biggest buffet in the U.S. but I believe it!
Grew up outside reading but work about 20mins from there.
On 2-hour delays from school we used to load up cars and go there for breakfast. They also have lunch and dinner buffets too.
I live in NJ and one day I am going to plan making a trip to Lancaster PA to try this breakfast, looks totally worth the hour and a half drive lol.
This place looks absolutely fabulous.😊😊😊😊😊
I live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and have been there too many times to remember! I can confirm 1000%, that this is the best, freshest, tasting, etc., Smorgasbord I personally have ever been to. They don’t skimp on cheap ingredients either.
@TURTLEORIGINAL don't lie. Everything is cooked in lard, its all greasy and makes my stomach churn after a single plate

Yes it is! And lunch is even better! Plus free in your birthday!
Do they really consider taking food shoplifting?
To answer the first question.. no
Having cakes/cookies for breakfast is wild
you're wild
I dont see a problem as long as you get some protein before that fat dessert
Most breakfast foods in America are sugary anyways. Pancakes, waffles, French toast, jams, orange juice. Not much different than eating a donut or cookie
@@meditativesloth4604no amount of protein will cancel out all of that sugar you had
Why? Sometimes I have a sweet pastry with a cup of coffee with no sugar for breakfast, and it keeps me full for hours. It's definitely not an everyday thing, but I don't think it is wild.
Wow everything looks so good
Living 45 minutes away from this is a dream. They truly are great.
🌽 This restaurant is in the heart of Amish Country. I have been there twice, their fried Chicken is amazing. It is almost like Disney world in the way that you can't really do the whole restaurant in one sitting. If you really wanted to dive into all the breakfast stuff, the lunch and dinner, the soups and breads, not to mention the pastries and desserts. Unless you are Joey chestnut, or Eater X, you would get sick if you tried to eat everything that place has to offer in one day. Thankfully, that part of Pennsylvania is so beautiful that you don't mind making more than one trip. Plan out your family's birthdays because I am pretty sure they treat you extra special on that day... Great Place 🍗🍤
appreciate you hyping up the town.. it’s an absolute beautiful gem. Gods country for sure. and the smorgasbord is heaven.
I'd have to get a hotel room to sleep that off. No way I'm driving after a buffet.
Trust me there parking lot is huge. Trying to walk back to your car after eating there is a damn struggle
My first time at this buffet was when I was on a trip to the Amish people, It was as large as I had seen so big (It takes 1hr from Camden, NJ to Lancaster, Crossing to Philadelphia)
At a buffet in Nevada many years ago I avoided putting on too much weight by making myself use small dessert plate for the heavy fattening foods and the big plate meant for the hot fattening foods for salad.
One of craziest breakfasts I’ve ever had 😵💫
Sounds like a great place to go during cold and flu season.
You're so fking silly 😂😂😂😂😂
😂. Go after the restaurant inspections. People must not eat good food .
Stupid thing to say.
