Wow! That place is gorgeous! Some of the details, I just can't believe them. The counters? The marble in the guess bath? The lazy susan? The balcony? The outdoor kitchen?! Your office?! 😍 The only downside I see are the number of stairs (I'm only more sensitive to that because I live with my elderly grandparents) but looking at the house in the whole, it's perfect for you. Can't wait to see how you decorate, it's the best part!

ya I know :) but of Indian Origin right, and Indian parents and a lot of Indian culture/society doesn't really change too much even if you move countries . but I guess ya being born a Canadian would have given her that boost.
yup, except maybe like a handful of huge celebrities, a single Indian girl buying her own house is unheard of :/ It's not just society telling us not to buy, but just the simple fact that it is also something we are never given a direction towards. :/ like I come from a very liberal family and if I would have wanted to buy property of my own they won't have said no or my family wouldn't have not let me buy or anything, but they never encouraged me to buy either. In my life goals I never gave a thought to buying my own house, which is pretty much the case for most girls in India, we don't even think this is a goal we can have or a goal we SHOULD have, and watching this really helps, thats why lilly is such an inspiration because she does things that we didn't even think are possible.
Oh well I'm Indian and live in the Caribbean and it's not strange at all for a single girl to purchase her own house or move into their own apartment it's quite common once u can afford it that is.

Wow, my husband and I looked at a condo with a very similar layout, but in San Jose. It did NOT have that AWESOME roof patio, though, that is sweet! It looks beautiful and the kitchen (my favorite room) is really great!
