I'm surprised the tie down rail on the tray didn't get bent. Leave the hi-lift at home, they're useless and dangerous, nothing that a regular bottle jack couldn't have handled

Hi Bryan, Glad to have you with us mate! I know right.. I hope the little virus buggers off soon. As far as I'm aware I don't think you'd be able to take a hire car up to the tip. Purely to the fact of the road conditions and that. I would suggest buy something cheap but reliable, drive it and sell it on after your finished the trip. Landcruisers have good resale over here so you shouldn't have a drama. Stay tuned for a our next video, we show we set up a car on a cheap budget to travel.
