"Flashdance" is one of those slow burn, Let-It-Build bangers. Like "I Will Survive" or "Last Dance" where people will sing along and just vibe...then go off once the beat drops!
Planners are great for getting TO the day. Once pre-ceremony music/guest arrival starts...they need to release the chains to the DJ to execute all the plans that have been laid out. It's important to coordinate with them...but WE need the reins for proper flow of the event.
I saw U2 in Las Vegas earlier this year, and Springsteen at the Excel center last March. Both of them do a really good job of filling the time without making it seem like a bunch of extra production. Obviously the U2 show was at the sphere, which is very heavy on spectacle, but they didn’t take many breaks in between playing, and all the footage in the background Did a great job complementing the music without feeling unnecessary. Springsteen on the other hand is obviously one of the best live acts ever, and honestly felt like a bar band that made it big. They didn’t do much of anything when it came to videos or extra fluff during the show, but the music and solos were spectacular. That being said, I have also seen many shows from modern artists. That focus way too much on unnecessary videos and lights and production instead of the music
Yeah after a few experiences with wedding planners I now explain that they can plan the wedding but on the day of I'm steering the ship nothing happens without me making it happen. We can work together but essentially I got it covered if I need them I will let them know.
That might rub them the wrong way, working together I think is always the best option there. Ususally things are smooth and they take a lot of the bullets during a wedding. Not sure I want all the aunts yelling at me lol
Yes, we must tolerate a high level of 💩 from stupid people when we DJ a Wedding. And for the most part, yes...we have to smile and keep it pushin'! Put hands on me though, and that party is OVER...at LEAST until that guest leaves. After he wakes up, of course. 👊😝😂
I'm here for The Old Guy Talk segment 🤣
They’ll be more of that for sure 😆

Bro, my assistant and I use 2 way radios(walkie Talkies). Best thing ever. I stopped relying on “planners”.

I think we can still work together all day, but it drives me nuts when the plan gets changed last second

Seems like it's still the older artists that are running shows like that. Maybe they think younger audiences can't handle it, I think they can
I had that vertigo shit. Got out of the car and nearly fell over at a MALL! No joke.
It's better now, water cured it!
