It’s been my favorite country house after reading about it in a 1983 biography of Kathleen Kick Kennedy sister to John F Kennedy. She was very popular with many of the British aristocracy when her father became ambassador to the court of St James. And eventually she married the eldest son of the Duke of Devonshire but he was killed only couple months later in WWII. After the war she had a love affair with the married 8th Earl Fitzwilliam owner of Wentworth Woodhouse who was planing on divorcing his wife to marry Kick but both were killed in 1948 when their plane crashed in the south of France.
Thank you
Great place I should know
Brill 👍🏻

Every one except the village tea room.
Looks lovely. But 5 minutes away is the m1. And Chapeltown with its sprawling housing estates and industrial units.
