** how to make easy an old school power supply with 2n3055 and lm317. with this we operate our 18v tools from 24v powerbank

Hi, .47 ohms resistors limit the shot circuit current of each transistor to 51 A , with all due respect they are worthless at this value, if you wish to limit the short circuit output curret of each transistor to 5A (30A max output in 6 x config ) you should use 4.8 ohms resistors, thanks !!

Here at 2n3055 specs:
Complementary silicon power transistor designed for general−purpose switching and amplifier applications.
Features • DC Current Gain − hFE = 20−70 @ IC = 4 A dc ( As you can see every transistor is capable of 4Amps DC max), hope this contribution would be helpfull for everybody, greetings !

so what do i need to change if i want to have a possible current of 50-70 amps?
hello friend a question I have a homemade regulated source of 30volt to 15volt and I have changed the voltage regulator and it does not regulate it and it is good and it does not send me 15volt if not 30volt which can be the ploblema
