That "I'll investigate it" tweet from Pyoro might just be a hint to an Ace Attorney Investigation collection. They are spin-off games that include Pheonix Wright's rival Miles Edgeworth as playable character. It would make sense for those games, being the final two games that aren't on modern consoles, to be released again. Investigations 2 also never got an official localization, so that would actually be exciting.

Jesus christ a 40 minute Direct with no mention of the new Switch. The hell is coming out in the second half of the year.

Jokes aside, I expect only two really big things, one probably being Metroid Prime 4, as it was promised for Switch, and while I don't doubt it will be cross platform with Switch 2, Nintendo are usually good about keeping those kinds of promises.
I couldn't really say about the second one. I really hope PapGenos is right about the Zelda thing, as I'd love to see a new classic 2D Zelda, but I don't really have much hope for seeing any traditional Zeldas for a long time.
The rest will probably be indie or ports, or whatnot, not that those are bad, but they aren't "big Nintendo" stuff.
We will probably see some stuff for early 2025. I'm convinced we aren't getting a Sept direct this year, and we get a switch 2 reveal in January. I just don't see how they sell 13.5 million switches this fiscal year and also announce a new console before this holiday season.

As mentioned before, I believe Mamaeda No Bakeru (Likely localized as Bakeru The Tanuki) will show up. Goodfeel's recent action platformer and successor to the Goemon series (Namely Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on N64) had its fan translation Cease-and-desisted. This is a new IP and still incredibly niche, so I don't see why it would be seen as a threat to anything official from Goodfeel unless it was being localized officially.
It's a genuine 9/10 game and has a lot of familiar Nintendo charm to it, namely reminds me a lot of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. If you're into cutesy action platformers with creative level design and a bunch of collectibles to find, it's super good.

Funny enough iirc the guy behind yakuza has said he doesn’t want Kiryu in smash because he doesn’t want him hitting women (didn’t really stop him from getting into PXZ2 but still) also I’d kill for just a little bonus pass to get Dante, not crazy on the other two, personal dream 3 pack would be like Dante, Reimu, and like Kratos, but still he was my main hope all the way up to Kazuya! Not gonna get my hopes up but man that’d be sick

As far as retro characters I want Crash Bandicoot And Ryu Hyabusa in Smash but I'm not getting My hopes up the last game all throughout the fighters passes basically Sakurai And Nintendo showed they didn't really want to add western 3rd party characters outside of Banjo And a good chunk of the internet gaming community would crap on Anyone who genuinely wanted Crash as a fighter in the game without being toxic about wanting Him in heck even Harada said He would tell Sakurai to never add Crash Bandicoot to Smash because of 1 Toxic fan so I'm not getting My hopes up that He will ever be a fighter anymore.
All Amiibos have been getting restocked. Not just Zelda and Ganon. They've been constantly restocking amiibos for the last year. So I don't think there will be a plan to phase them out. Because they make too much money on them.
I don't think the next Smash will be announced before the Nintendo Switch successor is revealed.
It's cool to see a new Smash "leak" with an image like that after so long. Axel coming to Smash would be so awesome! Just imagining Streets of Rage music in Smash makes me happy.

if we get a new smash game (or if they decide to keep updating ultimate for the switch 2 life cycle with new content) i hope we start seeing indie reps in smash. indie games have made up such a large part of gaming in recent years and while its cool to see them as mii costumes, I think its time we start seeing a few join the roster as full playable fighters.

Honestly with Lego Horizons coming to the Nintendo Switch it wouldn't actually surprise me if the reason that's happening is to get Alloy into Smash
If this Smash thing is legit (which i HEAVILY doubt) it would actually be a banging comeback. Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden and mf Streets of Rage?? We get a new Sega IP, our 3rd Capcom rep and friggin Koei Tecmo? They all would be so dope. But again, i doubt it will happen. Then again Smash Ultimate was seen as unrealistic before it was revealed and look where we are now. Anything can happen. If Super Mario RPG (which id absolutely love DLC for, i reaally loved my time with it and am super eager for the post game stuff. Somehow beat Culex' first fight on my first attempt being somewhat prepared) and TTYD remake showed me anything, it's that absolutely anything can and eventually will happen.
I'd love nothing more than more N64, GBA and SNES games coming to NSO, particularly Diddy Kong Racing, the Sonic Advance trilogy and Chrono Trigger.
The Next Super Smash Bros. Game is happening for sure!

I think it is slightly too early, unless we get a small hint. Sakurai has said that he has finished his blog series or whatever and has started working on a new project. Ultimate wasn't even teased until March of the year in came out, which was December 2018. Now they may release an Ultimate Deluxe. To get people to buy the game before the new one comes out so they make as much money as possible with Smash bros.

With how big its marketing and success has been, I don’t think it’s unlikely Nintendo prepped something from a challenge mode, maybe boss rematches, implementing more unused things from the original, etc. it’s not the highest chance and I would love paper Luigi DLC( but that’s definitely out lol), but it’s possible for a smaller update

@@outright4697 saying tune in for a future presentation is not the same as actually revealing anything for switch 2. They’ve done this plenty of times in directs.
If that 4chan leak were to be real, then it would confirm the Switch 2 being revealed sooner rather than later.

Honestly I would be pumped if Kid Icarus Uprising got an updated port for Switch, if any game that needs the spotlight let alone a glow up, it's that often overlooked 3DS classic. The game itself I would argue is one of the most memorable experiences on the handheld that I wish more people gave a chance to, hopefully it will get that chance.
That leaker who wanted those new fighters for smash really wants them in. Although, we got Dante in the form of a Mii costume, I'm just not sure for an extra fighters pass in this direct. I'm unsure if Sony would want their own characters like Aloy in smash.

The Investigations part was the dead giveaway to me. I figured it was those specifically, because the character that was used as a tease in question is actually reaally important in context to Miles Edgeworth (being a fangirl of sorts of his) i figured if it was AA7 that literally anyone of the main cast could have been used. It's odd to have her specifically. And despite being in a survey, it definitly wont be a remake of the original trilogy. Miles is the main character of the Investigations games and they were rereleased on iOS in Japan before so... yup.

I think it would be great to announce Smash 64 for NSO in this Direct, since we'll probably have to wait for the next console for more Smash, giving people the option to go back to the very first Smash game while we wait for the next would be great, especially considering Smash turned 25 this same year

I saw some Ace Attorney remake (I think, I'm not familiar with this series) in the upcoming games section on the eshop this morning, at least in the European eshop, but it seems to have been removed for now

I have a theory about the code named Anna, given that the game code named Elsa was a Switch version of a Wii sports, perhaps this Anna game is a Switch version of Wii Party, as we’re clearly not getting another Switch Sports before the next console, maybe we’ll get another fan favorite Wii game, and maybe that’s the game Smileboom is working on.

The only ways I'd see a new Smash Bros getting revealed is by a Metroid Prime 4 teaser style reveal, but without listing the platform (because it's not announced yet). Games for Switch were announced back when it was still the NX. 2 of them being Dragon Quest 11 (iirc) and Sonic Forces, so it's not entirely out of the blue. And i might be terribly misremembering, but i remember Nintendo did announce a Smash Bros before the console it would be on got revealed.
That or some type of Spin off relating to Smash Bros.
But I'm more on the camp that i dont really think we'll get anything Smash Bros.

I would like to ask when did you hear the info about prime 4 coming out in fall? Cause I know Switch 2 was probably supposed to come out this fall or at least sometime this year before we heard a few months back that it was delayed to 2025. So if you heard Prime 4 was gonna be in the fall before the delay happened it could point to it being tied in with the Switch 2 and being cross gen or something. We will probably see tomorrow if that’s the case or not because if it does release this fall just on switch then it probably doesn’t have a substantial switch 2 version that isn’t just a simple upgrade, Nintendo probably wouldn’t want to undercut a launch title like that by releasing the game months before hand.

I have no expectations for tomorrow. I'd like to see something StarFox. Something Megaman would be my pipedream, but I feel like that probably would have been announced through Capcom at Summer Games Fest. You mentioned a Mass Effect Legendary Edition from Bioware.... I'd rather see a Dragon Age Legendary Edition, with Dragon Age 4 getting announced. But again, if that was coming, we'd probably already know about it.
My personal wishlist would be to see a new Mario Baseball or Mario Party game, and Tomodachi Life sequel for Switch! Also, it's possible there could be something Donkey Kong in the Direct, that is, related to Super Nintendo World's Donkey Kong Country expansions that have been confirmed. Also, it's possible the Namco Bandai team is actually working on the next Mario Kart? I would presume for Switch successor, so wouldn't be shown off at the Direct
I think the “Edward” codename COULD be a remake or a translation of the inspiration for Link’s Awakening (which never left Japan), For the Frog the Bell Tolls… especially because one of the characters in it was named… Edward.
My predictions and wish lists are that Konami might announce the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2, a Tokimeki Memorial collection, and the localization of Power Pros (Pawapuro) in some form, even if its that mobile spin-off which is also coming to PS4 and Switch at a later date. From the Sega side of things, ATLUS might announce some more remasters or ports of their older games and Sega in general might accounce ports of older Sakura Wars games in the form of a collection in the direct as well. All of these (except the Metal Gear Vol. 2) are also part of my wishlists as well. All these might seem unlikely to appear at the direct, but you'll never know what could happen at a direct. They tend have some unexpected announcements at times. Come on Konami! Please give me those two announcements (Tokimeki and Pawapuro) and I will very happy!

Lego Horizon Adventures coming to Switch was a shock and the possibility of her joining Smash in the future as a PlayStation Rep is definitely there.
I'm gonna say it, I don't want a new Smash Bros. especially if it comes out the gate with Third Party Characters.
All my most wanted characters are first parties because all my third-party choices have joined the game. The only third party Characters I want are Phoenix Wright and a Sonic Character. Other than that, the third parties don't excite me any more....
If we do get a Nintendo Switch Sports related game, I think it would be “Nintendo Switch Play” as a follow-up to Wii Play and Wii Play Motion.
