The digging out of stumps works better when you are further away I know it seems counterintuitive but it allows the bucket to be more vertical and allows the curl function to pull and rip the roots easier and to pull the stump away from the fence instead of the tractor towards the fence... I've pulled many trees and stumps out by the root ball this way (whole poison sumac trees 4+ inches in diameter).
Hey Frank, good job getting that stump out, and no damage to the hydraulics, slow and easy always works best. Just a thought, but would it help if you built a subsoiler shank that could go on the backhoe as an attachment that you could use to go down and cut the roots with ? Thanks for all the great videos and content, Keep them coming.

Hydraulics are a real work horse!
Frank be careful when the tilt cylinder on your FEL is all the way out as the rod bends easily.
Next video, Adding a hydraulic cylinder to a manual backhoe thumb. Lol
