I love Dane’s reaction the most in this scene. To me it perfectly shows how someone would react to discovering the person they went to prom with took the life of the person they loved and didn’t give a crap about it. Shock, disbelief, disgust, anger and sadness. All perfectly displayed just by him walking away and giving one last glance of horror and disdain.
@@tamariomartin9080It added depth to a character that didn’t have much. I mean Courtney spent the whole movie kinda shitting on him but they made it clear from the beginning *everybody loved Liz* more than they feared Courtney. It was truly a great moment in the film

@Snotty Boi20 I know their just actor follow their script but I'm just saying what if this movie back in 90s before 1999 was a true story of this movie?.
@FocusOnHorror I mean, she's clearly a sociopath, she could have easily been faking surprise for the other girls, she was the one who came up with the idea to get rid of the body after all, so maybe Courtney did have the intention and was waiting for the right time to make it seem like a complete accident. It's rather speculative but it's not really that far-fetched to think that killing Liz was actually her intention all along considering how messed up she is.
Ooh. Actually... (plays recording): "I killed Liz! I killed the teen dream! Deal with it." It's your word against yours. It's called a hustle sweetheart. Boom
Wouldn't Julie, Fern, & Marcie be charged with being an accessory to murder? I mean it seemed that Julie & Marcie didn't know that Courtney gagged Liz with a jawbreaker but they knew a crime was committed and didn't immediately go to the police and instead tried to cover up the murder. Julie didn't do much of the cover up besides take Liz out of the trunk and into her bedroom so Julie more than likely would have been offered immunity. Courtney would get the most but Fern also blackmailed Courtney with telling the police and kept quiet in order to be popular.

Here's the thing, Courtney didn't show any remorse and pretty much did everything in her power to save her own skin. Marcy showed some remorse and guilt. Julie didn't just show guilt and grief, she was mad at Courtney for ruining other people's lives just to attain her ends, so much so that she wanted to make her former friend pay dearly for her ruthless actions. The most damning piece was the birthday card. Courtney had foolishly confessed to her crime of killing Elizabeth or Liz as she's commonly known. That would inevitably come back to haunt her. That's why only Courtney had been the only one to face an angry mob at the prom.
Because she was the only one who fabricated more evidence and led to the wrongful arrest of a somewhat disgusting but in this instance innocent man. And the whole prank was her idea, not just the jawbreaker which she shoved into Liz's mouth and also didn't tell the other girls about.
