Your yard is heaven on earth! I love all of your beautiful plants! I’d love to see your front yard, too! I hope your rose tree survived the storm we had yesterday! We had a redbud tree to uproot in the high wind. Thank you for sharing God’s beautiful creation with us! ❤
Wow!!! Double wow!!! Here in SC Zone 8, on 1 1/2 acres in the country. What a treat for me that your video just popped up. Your street should be named "Heaven"! I always say that I work in my flower and veggie gardens as practice, so that when I get to Heaven, I hope that God will LET me work in The Big Garden! Thank you so much for sharing the fruits of your talent with us. I certainly look forward to many more videos from you! Be blessed!
Hello Dawni found you on janeys channel dig, plant, water, repeat we commented about gardeners being nice and nurturing which i completely agree w. And now i am in love w ur channel as well . Im so nervous to start a channel myself but just have an itch to do it. You all have such beautiful homes ... im in love w ur back yard and pool🥰🥰 cant wait for more videos from you😊
Ohhh, your blooms all are heavenly! Such lovely colors! My bubblegums are going crazy, too, so I've clipped them several times already, and they just keep thriving! 🩷🩷🩷
Wow your flowers 💐 💐💐are so beautiful 😍😍😍 Omg ! I want to plant all of those lol 😂 Your plant and flowers 🌺💐🌹invited me to subscribe 😅😅😅. Thank you so much for sharing your garden with us!! ❤❤
I’m so happy to find a channel that shares the same style gardening as I do. I need some inspiration lol! I Live in Florida zone 8b so I can’t do too much of the Tropical garden as you would expect with me living in Florida. Our winters are colder and I end up loosing too many plants with the tropical plants. 🥲 I look forward to binge watching your channel 💕 and finding my inspiration That I desperately need!!
Hi Pamela, This was such a nice message. Thank you so much for the very kind words! I feel like we all need a little inspiration at some time or another...it's always so helpful! I love tropicals, so yes, that would be hard as that's what most people think about when you garden in Florida! I hope you enjoy "binge watching"...lol... and get a few more ideas for your garden! Happy Gardening! ~ Dawn
Dawn, everything looks amazing!! You have so many different varieties of plants, and you have such an eye for garden design and placing them so they look their best! I am going to write down Orlaya in my garden journal to grow in the future, it is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Love your garden, I do have a question how does your crepe Myrtles fair in such a small space. Plus mess the dropping blooms make that near the pool. I love them but had my husband cut ours down because of the mess it made on our sidewalk. 🤦🏻♀️ looking forward to more garden videos. I appreciate how you put names of plants on the screen. Cindy in NC
Hi there Cindy from NC! Thank you so much! That is such a good question and I realized that there probably will be a lot of questions about that. The ones along my pathway are pixie wixie crepe myrtles and it is the smallest variety (2'-3') that there is. Fortunately, the way the wind blows in our yard, the blooms will probably not enter the pool. The crepe myrtle on the side of the house is dwarf variety. I just trim it up like a small tree. I've had it for over 6 years and it has never gotten taller than about 4'. They do make a mess, but we don't mind it! It's one of the few florals that can survive and thrive in our summer heat!
In florida in zone 8 heavenly bamboo is so invasive and difficult to dig out so you might want to watch yours. Was the beautiful pink striped clematis flower a Nelly Moser clematis
Hi Dorothy, Thank you for watching! Well, that's a bummer for you guys. I love our bamboo and am thankful it's not invasive here b/c I love it so much! That one has been there for 20 years and is not a problem. I think the clematis you are referring to may be a Dr. Ruppel. They look very similar! Hope that helps!
Stunning oasis! I love your garden. I am in TX too. I am in zone 9b, I think. We just recently moved here. I am trying to create a beautiful oasis so your video was/is inspirational. I subscribed to your channel! ❤
Your garden is beautiful! Would love to know what kind of tree that is in the corner with the silver foliage? Thank you for sharing your garden with us.
Your gardens are absolutely beautiful. I think I caught that you were in Texas. I am in zone 5B northern Indiana. I was particularly hoping you’d mention some of the small trees around your perimeter if they are crêpe Myrtle I can’t use them, but I’m interested in the smaller trees. Your layout and diversity is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the tour very much.
Hi Dee Ann, I appreciate your nice comments so much! I think the trees you are referring to are holly trees. They are evergreens and require full sun. I hope that helps!
Your 1st clematis was LOVELY. Josephine is my favorite. I adore clematis + larkspur gardeners. Only so you know: Bougainvillea is pronounced: boo - gang - veeya.
Thank you! Josephine is beautiful and I can see why it's your favorite! I'm going to have to add it to my collection very soon! I will try, but I will never be able to pronounce it correctly...lol! I am bad at pronouncing ALL plants!!!
Hi Jeannie, A Double Thank you for watching and SUBscribing... welcome to my channel! I'm glad you saw a few new varieties. I also love to try new things! ~ Happy Gardening!
Hello Lashun, They are cattle steel mesh and you can get them at Home Depot or Lowes. They are awesome. Here is a short that shows what we use: ua-cam.com/users/shorts_MGZKoV1eCY. Hope this helps!
I picked that one off by hand; otherwise, you spray with BT, which is a type of bacteria that is toxic to caterpillars. You have to apply it pretty often, so I think it's easier to just pick them off by hand! Hope that helps!
Hi Diane! Awesome...love the local folks, especially knowing what's working and what's not! ! I am located North of the metroplex. Appreciate you watching and sharing!
I just found your channel today and subscribed. Everything is absolutely stunning!! Could I ask what zone and state you garden in. I'm on the coast of Washington, zone 8b I believe. We are a ways behind you in our spring is why I was curious. Happy😊 gardening!🎉
Hi there Shelby...you're so kind! I am in North Texas Zone 8b. It's so crazy that we can be the same zone as the coast of Washington! Thank you for subscribing! Happy Gardening right back at you!
Sorry, I put my question in the wrong place. What were the yellow and purple plants along the fence at the beginning of your tour? I'm looking for some yellow plants that don't get too large. Lovely garden.
Hi Darlene, I think you may be talking about the (yellow) sunshine ligustrum and the oxalis (purple). I would not recommend planting oxalis in the ground. It will take over your garden completely and choke out surrounding plants! If I were to do it again, I would keep it in a pot! The ligustrum will get large, but you can keep it trimmed down. You may prefer Touch of Gold Holly. They stay pretty low and compact without trimming.
Hey Wendy! Thank you for checking! Yes, I do deadhead them for floral arrangements! I have so many Holly trees 🌲 in my yard, so the birds have lots of other berries for happy tummies!
Hi Donna, Thank you so much for your suggestion! It is actually just coming along beautifully now! It's the 2nd year, so it's in its creep stage! I am please with what it has done since this video and I hope to give a tour and update soon! Do you have one?

16:35 how did you take care of that? The fuzzy black caterpillars are eating my plants down to the nub. Thanks for the tips.
I picked that one off by hand; otherwise, you spray with BT, which is a type of bacteria that is toxic to caterpillars. You have to apply it pretty often, so I think it's easier to just pick them off by hand! Hope that helps!
What are the gold evergreens, little balls, 3 of them? You have growing behind your 2 blue junipers (after the Orlaya)?
That is sunshine ligustrum!
Thank you for the tour of your beautiful garden, I had to share with my sister. Are you in Texas? I'm in North Central Texas.

I love your collection! What zone is your garden in?
Hi Anaisabel, Thank you so much! I am in Zone 8b:)
What are you using on the fence for them to climb on ? Is it cattle panels?
Hi Elizabeth, Yes, that is exactly what they are!
May I ask where you live ? 💐💚🙃 I’m guessing a warm climate is why you can overwinter verbena? 💐💚🙃
Hi there Judy! I am in North Central Texas. That verbena is actually hardy down to zero! Can you believe that?! Another reason that I love it so much!
I just love your garden😊. Where did you get your leopard plant from?
Thank you Jennifer. I got it many years ago, but I see it all the time at local nurseries, including Home Depot and Lowes.

do you cut the berries off your nandinas? I'm sure you know they're toxic to birds. your garden is very pretty :^)
