@Tunica Autochthonous All countries have different agreements with each other. Just like Canadians and British don't need a Visa to visit the United States meanwhile someone from other countries like Ghana needs a Visa to come to the United States, Canada or the U.K.
It's much the same with all countries. Different countries have different relationships and agreements are made between them.

Ive watched all your Ghana videos. Really cool. Just one little thing. Try to make friends with Ghanaians who grew up and live here. Itll be useful in terms of knowing exactly where to get good but cheaper stuff/services, your way around with certain things etc. Typical example, seeing a dentist at the mall or even buying clothing at the mall will be like times more expensive than at a regular place, basically because of high rental costs for shops at the mall. Little things like that. Enjoy your stay here though. Try Cape Coast and the beaches in Western Region

Also for the money situation you can use remitly, it's an app where you can transfer money from your Canadian bank account to your Ghanaian mobile money wallet which I find is cheaper than exchanging cash at the forex bureau. If you're using cash best to bring $100 USD dollar bills they are worth more than if you were to bring $20 USD dollar bills or other denominations/currencies (not sure what it is about the $100USD dollar bill but they really like those lol).

I really appreciate these videos! Questions, how did you set up mobile/sim accounts? Are there any local/international schools close by? Is there a free healthcare service like the NHS in the UK or private based? Do you plan on continuing as an influencer in Ghana or seek entertainment/comedy positions? Apologies for the millions of questions questions. 🧐😂

Ghana has a free health care system called NHIS which one pays about £5 a year and can renew every year. What!!!!!! ? Yeah. There are also private health insurances.
When I moved to Ghana at first about 10 yrs ago I refused to do the NHIS and I was ready to pay for my hospital Bills from a fine private hospital. One of my good friend who is a doctor explained the system well to me and I realised that I have been a fool all these while so I quickly went to register for the NHIS. The first time I used it at the Military hospital which is one of the best in the country, I was astonished by the good doctors and staff and at the end when I requested for the bill they looked at me as an alien and said but you brought NHIS card so it free. I only need to go and get my medicines which I paid for some of them. Wow!!!!

      1. For mobile SIM card, one needs a valid and acceptable ID card or better passport and residential address. Its done less than 5 minutes and you have a working mobile SIM card.
There numerous International schools some of whom follow the British educational system. They are however expensive and these schools are in the major cities in the country. However majority of the cities do not have.
I personally will advice anybody to first come down for some time to study the system and be sure before moving to stay.

I was going to comment that I don’t know anyone that has had their visa application to Ghana rejected. The process is long and some of the questions especially when renewing a Ghanaian passport are annoying as they already have the details or should have the details on the system (that’s a whole different topic). From what I’ve heard from friends and family in America the process in America is smoother than the U.K. so I’m assuming it’s the same in Canada too.
You can do visa on arrival too but I haven’t personally done that before.
I’m so happy that Ghana and some Caribbean island (hopefully one day it will be all) are visa free.
