- It's just another Saturday at home so we kick-off the day with Mickey waffles. The contents of our overstuffed closet comes crashing down on Mike so we get a head start on our spring cleaning. And to end our day on a high note, we sous vide some wagyu steaks for a dinner of steak frites!

That is a cable cover protector hose - it’s used to protect the electronic cables to the door systems (lock actuators, windows, airbags, etc)
THANK YOU!!!
Exactly!
Steve, you are a braver man than me! The last time I questioned my wife in HER kitchen, I spent the rest of the day in the garage and eating Ramen noodles for dinner. Be blessed guys!!
Hahahaha!!!
I have a word for couples that never argue....divorced. Talking through stuff and communicating needs to your spouse is how couples reach that Golden Anniversary. 😉
Love this!!
I LOVE the banter between you two! Steve is so funny and witty. Thank you for sharing. You two should film a Q&A, would love to get to know more about your family 💙
Thank you!!! So funny you should mention that; we do our "Cocktail Q&A's" on our instagram from time to time, but we've never done one on our UA-cam channel. We are thinking about it.
I love Caleb’s formal Saturday morning attire with his bow tie. So cute! 🧡
Lol, right?!
OMG when you said "Thelma and Louise" as caleb was driving the car off the ruler i busted out laughing! LMAO!
Hahahaha.
I can never understand what Caleb says and that makes him even more adorable. I’m dead , that little guy makes me smile. He was so excited over the Mickey waffles ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Hey Guys. All your electrical for your door goes thru that housing. Power locks, windows, courtesy lights. Enjoyed your vlog! Best wishes from a fellow valley resident!
Thank you!!!
Celab is so cute and precious
What a fun day. Dinner looked delicious. So did the waffles! Love the barrel in Steve’s office - looks great!!
It was a fun day, thanks for watching!!
They make thin clear acrylic /hard plastic shelf liners for those type of racks. I bought ours when i ordered the shelf several years ago.
We have a rack that came with the basin, but Steve forgot to put it in lol.
Super Fun Time!
Very!
Love the home vlogs. Caleb is adorable as always
Thank you!! 😊
Also, you can get free sourdough starter from 'carls.net" carlsfriends.net/ for a self addressed stamped envelope they'll send back SF starter. It's good stuff but you have to care and feed it... it's like having a pet that will make you fat. The SO did baguettes with a baguette pan in the steam oven I mentioned above. VERY VERY GOOD.
I think I’m hearing Steve say that he would like fresh coffee made for him on the weekends! Lolololololololol...I’m laughing out loud!
Hahaha, seriously!! We had a discussion this morning about whether or not we leave that part in lol.
I am so jealous of that steak and frites!
The cable part you're looking at is a door wire harness. It connects the electronic powered pieces of the door like the locks, power windows etc. to the battery. Kids pick out the weirdest things!
Love the videos and can't wait to see you guys back in Orlando :)
Thank you!! Yes, we cannot wait to be back in WDW!!!
I love the home blogs! 🥰
Thank you!! Glad you like them!
Steve- you should listen to episode 40 of the podcast Criminal. It's about Pappy Van Winkle. it's only about 30 min and so interesting.
I think the technical term for it is a wire loom or wire boot.
OMG, Caleb is so super cute :) :) :) We also just bought that Mickey Waffle Maker, it's so awesome!!
It's so good!
Is it roast Mike day or what? Perhaps Steve could set a timer on the coffee maker the night before and help clean once in a while. Jeesh!
LOL, this is great!!!
I adore you guys! Best find ever on UA-cam! I am not sure if this already exists but would love to know the back story (if u share this type of info...) of how u both met, how Caleb came to be, what u both do for a job etc....
Wow whiskey collection!! There is a beautiful hotel in Kenmare Ireland, the park hotel has this extraordinary whiskey bar and spa you both should go if you can
That would be amazing!! Before covid, Steve was traveling all over the globe for work so it would probably have been very doable for us at one point. Here's hoping for a trip in the near future!!
@@TheMagicDads it’s a beautiful town as well I went to their website recently saw that they are now big into their win cellar as well but the whisky expert looks to still be in residents it’d you ever get a chance go you won’t regret it for the spa a long
Amazing looking steak, I’m very intrigue with the cooking process in the hot water bath cooker.
It's awesome. I was very skeptical about it at first when we initially got it about a year ago, and now it's the only way we cook steaks.
Great video Two thumbs up. 👍👍 We did miss Steve’s great cocktail hour pre dinner. Steak looked outstanding.
Thanks 👍
I love the whiskey collection, nice going!
My husband says it’s called a wire harness
Thank you!!
Ex chef here - for the sous vide, two tips - they make a cheap rack you can get on Amazon that hold the steak on its side so it’s getting optimum water flow and temperature. Second when searing, sear in a neutral oil (veggie, grapeseed) then add the butter last. Searing it directly in butter causes a bit of bitterness and likely Smokey ness - more sear, less fuss!
Awesome, thanks for the tip!!
I’ve only had Wagyu in Japan....so, yes, to Wagyu!
Was wondering what whiskey charity you belong to? My husband and is a big whiskey fan
is it weather stripping or automotive door seal? have no clue lol what a lovely Saturday at home as always made me smile and hungry
Gasp! Are you Club 33 members?!
We are in WDW.
I just have one question.. love baby Caleb. When did enter your lives? I’m a late commer here
What is the brand name of your toaster oven?
It's the Breville Smart Air, we LOVE it!!!
Could it be the air bag?
Mike where did you get your waffle maker, iv been looking for the ones that are thicker like you get in the parks?
It's from Shop Disney. Here's the link: www.shopdisney.com/mickey-mouse-90th-anniversary-double-flip-waffle-maker-655772017307.html?isProductSearch=1&plpPosition=undefined&searchType=autosuggest-popular&siteSearchTopProduct=1
You must pull the breville out of the corner when you air fry... It needs five inches of clearance from the backsplash, or it creates a fire hazard.
Oh yikes!! Thanks for the heads up!
@@TheMagicDads you're welcome!
What is this cocktails Instagram of Steve's??!
Hey there. It’s mostly whiskies that I have collected. My Instagram account is SipNTravel. Thanks!
Ditch the Breville...and get a Anova Steam/Combi oven. Got ours last week. It also replaces the sous vide stick. Bonus...because it's steam MOIST...you don't really have to bag stuff for steam cooking. The oven has a "Sous Vide Setting" that's low slow and precise temp control for hours ...but with the steam you don't need the bag. (unless you're doing some Thomas Keller Stuff, which techincall is 'under pressure/vacuum' ) Tho...you can bag stuff and put in the steam oven without the water bath and still have full temp coverage for hours and hours.
