    I’m excited to see if it gets popular (I love it so I hope it does)

    I had fun with the Strinova playtest but I can't see it blowing up/becoming too mainstream. I imagine it will be a flavor of the month (or two) game at release and then the player base will drop like XDefiant, The Finals, Battlebit Remastered, etc. Usually games with a high skill ceiling are easy to learn, hard to master but this one seems a bit too convoluted right off the bat. New players not only have to learn the nuances of a "tactical" shooter, but then there are lots of abilities, various weapons upgrades, movement, etc.
    Really well made video btw, very informative. I think the title is a little misleading vs the content of the video though.

      I haven't played battlebit or Xdefiant, but on the finals:
      The finals didn't really have a lot in terms of unique mechanics . . . Cool unique characters/classes? Nope, instead you just get to be slightly bigger or smaller. Cool unique gamemode? it's definitely unique but I'd argue it really isn't enough for what it is.
      Taking a quick look at battlebit and x defiant (so these may be inaccurate but I tihnk I get the gist of them so it should be good):
      Both of these, while good, still have a major problem. They both are jsut the same thing that has been done a million times. Big open battlefield with sites to take and large amounts of players? Planetside2, battlefield etc.
      Xdefiant? Same thing but smaller maps and more enclosed spaces? Call of duty, R6, or to a lower degree titanfall, halo.
      Strinova on the other hand? I'd argue while it has a lot of things that are similar to other games, they're all different enough to feel like a new game.
      TLDR; the examples you gave had problems that strinova doesn't really have imo

      I disagree. Although the game is difficult it isn’t convoluted. Almost everyone who’s played this game will have atleast tried Valorant, meaning they will understand the ranked gamemode and guns pretty quickly. Valorant and overwatch, the two biggest fps, are also ability shooters so most players won’t find abilities too out of the ordinary. The only learning curve will be the movement, which while super unique and fun isn’t very difficult, even compared to apex. Because of its unique take on the overwatch/Valorant genre and, let’s be honest, anime girls, the game will difinately be popular for a long time

      @@mirkinator2221 You mention mechanics, characters/classes, game modes, and maps as examples why some of those other games failed. The paper mode mechanic is cool, I'll give Strinova that. Characters/classes? Eh, some of them seem quite familiar to Valorant/Overwatch/Apex Legends. Game modes? Same as CSGO/Val or Overwatch. Maps? 2 are rip offs from Overwatch and 1 is a rip off from CSGO. Unironically I think the best/most unique thing Strinova has going for it besides paper mode mechanic is that it's a gacha style PVP Shooter with anime girls. There also is the fact it is in third person and there isn't really a big third person tactical-ish shooter ATM but that could also be a turn off for some people so I'm not going to label it a pro or con.

    One quick question, is heavy or light armor better? I usually go light but I’ve been wondering

      @Hana_Hana88  3 місяці тому

      It’ll mostly depend on who you’re playing or who you have on your team. If you have a Celestia for example her armor regen is great with heavy armor on you or your teammates. If you are playing snipers on the other hand and peek angles often, having light armor with regen can help give back in the long term. Damage is a very deep topic but picking light in most scenarios should be fine ^^.

    I have an issue man. I literally NEVER kill anyone before they kill me I just don't fkin know if my aim is shit because I have a decent control of the spray pattern but my bullets simply don't hit and if they do they do VERY LOW damage. I main Meredith and when I shot people from large distance in the head the damage is just so so so low like 20 or 34 is it for the distance? because I know that weapons do more damage the closer you're but still never get more than 4 kills in the entire match I tried tapping too but it just expose myself me too much and I can't get kills. Still because of the op skills she has I can win games but never kill anyone and I feel like trash for my team.

      You’re right meredith is very strong but she is also a very difficult character to play in my experience. Her gun also feels weaker to. I’m plat 3 and my biggest advice would be play easier characters like celstia, yevette, Ming and lawrane so that you can understand the base gunplay of the game, the pace, and the map before you move on to more complex characters. I think your problem (like mine) was jumping into more difficult characters before mastering the basics. Not saying don’t play difficult characters but I am saying learn the basics first! Also if you make a WeChat account you can play on the Chinese version of the game and improve a lot while most Americans can’t play, then you’ll be crazy when it actually releases and you’re on your own ping playing newer players. Good luck hope I helped!

      I’ve felt that too! In my experience I’ve noticed this happening the most on the Tokyo server where there are a shit ton of bots. I’ve been able to reach 1st place in most of my scrimmage games but will still randomly have a bot delete me. Other characters like Fuschia also have really easy spray patterns so that could be another factor! Meredith is still good but the biggest stat you need to ALWAYS SPEC INTO is headshot damage. After that getting kills has gotten a lot easier ^^

      @@graciejefferson202 Thanks for the advice. I'm Gold 2. Tried to play Ming once but I'm bad with aggresive characters like her I though. I've never touched the other 3 because they didn't get my attention. I only play Meredith, Fuchsia (but I'm bad) and the PUS Awper (I don't remember her atm). I'm waiting for Aika too because she looks amazing too. Still, I have come to the conclusion that I cannot kill with Meredith without life advantage since she is a controller and not a duelist so I must deal with that and scavenge more.
