Huh? Why al that trouble making 1 mix bus instead of using the stereo output? It feels like double up like an extra cable for nothing. Btw I wish u had gone deeper on the topic from 8’,20 with examples on ur own track like how u want some elements to sound crispy as the reference track among other stuffs u mentioned
The problem with this is, when you use master effects on your main output channel (Which obviously you do), the reference track also gets sent to that master track and the effects you use for your own mix also affect the reference track. The reference track should be sent to an effectless bus, and everything else should be sent to a different bus that has the effects loaded up, and finally those two new buses (and those only) should be routed to your effectless main outs.
This is excellent. Thank you so much. I have learned a lot.
That awesome! You're welcome. : )
Love a bit of Rend Collective! Great video!
Thanks!
Great Video. Very informative.
Happy to help!
So now that Logic X 10.8 has a mastering thing going on, how would you route your reference track? Thanks
Great question. Not exactly sure. I haven't messed with the Logic mastering features yet.
maybe a dumb question here, but why not add the psuedo mastering chain onto the stereo out channel?
So the main reason why you don’t do that is because then you will be “double mastering” your reference mix which is already mastered. Make sense?
@@GoMakeMusic o yea duh, i see, thank you!!
@@kylejhazelton no worries bro!
