"What do they call mulliganing in Lorcana?" - Ravensburger calls it "altering your opening hand" but everyone just says mulligan. "Where is this Aladdin quote from?" - the divider line above the flavor text actually tells you where it's from. Book - line from a film. Treble Clef - lyric from a song. Pen - written just for the game.
Also this card would be the lil squid but here are its abilities 1. Can be played and tapped as ink each turn. 2. When this card is placed in your ink well it counts for 2.
Just saying this again, but as mostly listener i really love the background music in the AFK streams, the comibnation of table talk and chill vibes really hits the spot
Loving seeing Lorcana on here! Kinda love this form of drafting. Seems LRR would get really into Netrunner if they had the opportunity and I'd love to see some regular play content of it as well.
Anyone knows which stream plugin/app is used to recognize the cards and bring them up on the screen? Me and my friends are playing through discord streams and this whould have been a great imporovement.
More Lorcana content please! The constructed decks are very fun and the power level really makes both players feel like they're doing their thing. There are quite a few fun matchups. Amethyst/Ruby midrange is currently the top dog, but it's beatable by a lot of decks and with more product out now every deck that made the top 8 at the last big tournament is sub $300 and dropping.
“Simbaing” I was thinking simbaosis 😅 I’m well into the rise of the floodborn meta game and it is so much fun to watch new players draft the first chapter. Brings me back to the roots of when I first picked up a starter deck and played. Lots of fun.
Have to feel for Wheeler, who begged during the year in review podcast for some Ragavan-free spaces in his life, only to run into Disney Ragavan in a lorcana draft.
I think my top 10 of things I want to see is 10. Flying Whales (Fantasia 2000) 9. Fang (Dave the Barbarian) 8. The Headless Horseman (The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad) 7. Horned King (The Black Cauldron) 6. Chaos (Aladdin Animated TV series) [if that is too obscure I would settle for Mozenrath] 5. Hooty (The Owl House) 4. Noodle Burger Boy (Big Hero 6) 3. Bill Cipher (Gravity Falls) 2. Moral Bent Characters 1. Studio Ghibli Characters I know some of these will never happen but you can dream. Honorable mentions go to (because I only thought about them later) Phantom Blot (Mickey Mouse comics), Shadow (Kingdom Hearts) and Hellfire [song] (The Hunchback of Notre Dame).
Man I wish Alan Tudyk tribal was a thing in constructed Lorcana. Alas, it would seem that he voices two characters that are in the game, and they're spread over three colors. There's a Heihei in both Amber and Amethyst, and the Duke of Weselton is Emerald. We would need a King Candy, and if they did add Star Wars, a K-2SO, and the ability to play more than two colors in a deck.
my love for cardgames and my hatred of disney make me feel incredibly conflicted on this game. I'll probably still check it out if anywhere near me gets some.
I would love to see y’all play one piece. I have switched from magic to one piece and it’s been an amazing time. Simple to learn, great mana system, and I enjoy the life system
I have to say, the *feeling* of all questing being basically burn is weird. Magic players are used to creatures being blockable, Yugioh or Hearthstone players are used to creatures being attackable and either summoning sickness or Taunt being the default. Lorcana weirdly (feeling) has summoning sickness, but the creatures can't be challenged, and questing can't be interfered with. So, the only way to stop a creature from gaining the last point of lore is with removal. And Ward exists, which would require a board wipe. It's not *that* different from being dead on board or top-decking burn, but the fact that it's a creature but can still "deal damage" without interacting is unusual.
As a Magic player whose Lorcana knowledge is limited to the two LRR streams, I do have to admit knowing every creature is basically guaranteed at least one quest is an unusual wrinkle that feels like it favors the first player. Sure, you can try to catch up with removal and such, but so can the first player.
So I do think it looks boring but just the Disney name can keep it alive for any amount of time they want it to. Though I could see the game completely die in a few years and just the collectibility remain

If they add Pixar (or more if they're in it) I'd like to see a ramp card based off Finding Nemo named "You guys made me ink".
That would be good.

This was a great AFK, and if you open a channel dedicated to Lorcana, please call it LRRCana

30:05 if I dare say, Graham can do a good Kronk, and I'd wager Kathleen can do a fun Yzma, that skit idea seems very doable
I do not need another TCG in my life, but hits is very tempting!

i'm not saying i looked up the world nelson didn't know on urban dictionary, but the crack about Minnie is now unintentionally hilarious
I love the artwork on these cards

Yes please, more Lorcanna content!
please yes more LRRcana.
I usually don't watch the actual drafting for FNPF but I enjoyed this one a lot. Real good, fun energy.

Gives me hope for the Lorcana cube I'm building.
so Let it Go is essentially Assassin's Trophy...well Vraska and Elsa can both turn people into statues....so there's that
Braids and Snakes are *basically* the same hair style too!
2:28:32 someone is going to need to explain the hot pockets thing to me.
You know, I was kinda on the fence about this whole Lorcana thing, until I heard that every deck is gonna be Five-Color Good Stuff. 😊
Six-color good stuff, my bad 😂
24:06 Pause 😂😂
After buying my first deck I realized something: Lady Tremaine is actually just Frollo in drag.
Haha his hat hides the hair.
More Lorcana content.

I would love to see LRR try Sorcery:Contested Realm
My name is Daniel and hearing them addressing Daniel made me spit take lol
Given the Hasbro stuff, I'm interested in seeing MTG alternatives, so thanks for this!
Disney is doing everything Hasbro is and then some.
Yeah if your basing what game your going to play on how ethical the company is a tcg is not the way to go

I hope I get more foxes so that I can build my sexy foxes tribal deck with Robin hood and nick wilde
Cool
You think WoTC is gonna be upset with them using "Tap" whilst they play a non-WoTC game?

I love you guys, but I'm am Disney'd out... I need a break from Star Wars and Marvel too...
Looks boring, it won't last more than a couple of years
