Slightly Stoopid are back with their 8th studio album, Meanwhile...Back At The Lab (June 30). The new collection is a 14 song journey across the band's genre-bending fusion of styles and features guests Karl Denson (Greyboy Allstars/Rolling Stones), Ian Neville (Dumpstaphunk) Marshall "Ras MG" Goodman (Sublime), The Aggrolites, & platinum songwriter/vocalist Angela Hunte.

Slightly Stoopid, the Ocean Beach, California based group led by co-founders and multi-instrumentalists Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty, along with drummer Ryan “Rymo” Moran; percussionist Oguer “OG” Ocon; saxophonist Daniel “Dela” Delacruz; keyboardist Paul Wolstencroft; trumpet and trombone player Andy Geib; plus special unofficial 8th member” Karl Denson (The Rolling Stones/Greyboy Allstars) on saxophone- On June 30th, Slightly Stoopid unveiled their 8th studio album Meanwhile... To all the haters. This is just a different version of the prophet. Yes the one from their live album is the best version. This one holds it's own though. Ya it may sound mainstream but it is still better than most shit on the radio. And as for their new album, they are trying something different. They can't just keep making tracks that sound the same every time. Sublime didn't even do that. They ranged from punk to rock to reggae. Any true fan of sublime and SS knows what I am talking about.

This album is mehh.. over produced tech drums. And all the crazy radio effects.. really stoopid? I love yall, but ima be honest. Your old music, especially slightly not stoopid enough to eat breakfast yet stoopid is still by far the most tastiest, grooviest, most raw, and jazzyiest album ive ever heard. Super badass album. Ide love to hear more of that sound.

They've never been a reggae band, man. Just chill music, which incorporates reggae a lot. If you've heard their original Prophet, which this song samples you'd know that.

love the song. however im kinda bummed at how over produced it sounds. wish they had kept this one in the old school style. with a drum kit and sorta in the sublime style.... still cool though

I agree with what you said, I like the older version. In my opinion sublime does it better than Slightly Stoopid...again just my opinion.
If this album had any more influence from Scientist, you would think it was made by the man himself....including the artwork!
