@@DavidVanVoris you should shoot for Radial Fest in I think Alabama and if you just went SBF would be way easier but just like you said if you want to go fast you not only have to pay for it but you also have to make sacrifices to try to get stuff to work with what you got to get there but I'm pulling for you to get it done and out to the track and make some really fast passes but either way if you do or don't get it done in time you should still go to and check out Radial Fest
Running across ur videos is pretty cool. I thought I was 1 of the first to do a Gen 3, twin turbo setup with holley Dominator. I've been running and driving since October 2021. Getting Dominator to work with Gen 3 cams was quite a bit of head scratching, but ultimately fairly simple.
So gen 2 heads on the gen 3 block, run on batch fire or switch out to something like a fueltech ft600. It's not Holley. I have both and like both units. On the fueltech you can do the custom cam in the diagnostic mode. Then do cam tell synced once you get it figured out. I'm sure you and Joe talked about these options. Thanks for the updates!
I would argue in favor of a Haltech Nexus, the integrated PDM is just too nice, amazing single box unit. The Elite is still a great option to if you want to trim features for price. About as flexible and capable as any other ECU out there. There's SO many very capable ECUs out there though that it's really down to cost, features, and personal preference(I do like Haltech's software, especially that "free" part, no extra pay wall to unlock software & hardware features - *BS3*). Life Racing, ECUMaster, OBR(first standalone running a 'Zilla 7.3 including the newer features like the variable speed oil pump, w/ base map too, Brian Wolfe's dyno ECU), AEM, Adaptronic, all are very interesting, very capable options.
@@RyTrapp0 haltech is a great ecu. It doesn't support a gen 3 coyote. Alot of those ECU's that you state are not known for there domestic engines. I could of recommended a emtron, Maxx and motec. I have no experience with those and I'm not sure what trigger patterns they support. User interface and support is also what everyone will be after, so most of these are not an option.

Maryland may be a long drive to Texas to build my Gen3 but your honesty and knowledge makes that long ride worth it. I’ll be in contact in a week or so but I still have the original Titanium exhaust that Joe made, that gave you the your first stock block record you had. I wanna give it back to you, to put in your shop because that was a awesome run and one I’ll never forget.

Is there a part 2 on this ? Since there is less of a desire for the complexity of the 3rd gen engines they seem to be easier to get one's hands on. I have a 61 galaxie project i'm embarking on that i would love to be able to use a coyote on but the DI harness and everything else is making it difficult.
@@DavidVanVoris he is one of Holley efi largest dealer and I know he has worked with Holley efi r&d team. If there is a way to do it he can make it happen. I would put a flag on the cam gear and screw in a Hall effect sensor into valve cover.
@@SpeedProductions I see that but yeah In the video I said you’d have to do a Hall effect sensor and even the one that has done it they said the tuning wasn’t fun. I was advised to go another route
@@DavidVanVoris 96-10 cars have rpm issues above 7k rpm so we have to run Hall effect cam and crank sensors to alleviate sync issues. I’m very familiar with this process and it’s not hard. You can run it as a mod motor or ls type config with firing order changes.

Use a ford control pack if you want to use a gen 3.
When youre using the Holley on a Gen 1 do you use only 1 cam sensor or are you using all 4 sensors. Thanks
Passenger intake cam is the one you want. the 3 wire sensor. Hall sensor. The other sensors are for the vvti box.
