    I found your channel about 6 weeks ago and am I glad I did! Recently, I was diagnosed with hip OA. I asked to see a physical therapist and I was told that PT would not help, and possibly worsen the condition. Thanks to you, I am able to walk more easily! Thank you again and again!

    Dr David: I’m a 72y/o who was extremely active athletically for most of my life. I’ve recently found your channel and I’m SOOO thankful!!!! I have had dramatic improvement in my knees. (Thank you!) I ordered your knee program in hopes of continuing progress now, and maintaining knee health.
    I’ve downloaded it, but cannot find where it downloaded onto my phone. (This may very well be an operator type error.) But I thought I’d ask. The purchase was made today, 5/3/24.
    Having some knowledge of kinematics, your explanations make more sense about joints than I’ve EVER heard!!!
    It was downloaded while I was watching your very latest video.
    Again, thank you!

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  24 дні тому

      Hello Patti! Sorry we cannot correct the hip protrusio acetabuli with how we help hip pain, but our treatment approach may help strengthen muscles the right way so that you can reduce the problems you're having. We don't have specific videos to help with that. But you might look into our other hip videos to see what you can glean:

    If your knee hurts, try doing rowing for cardio and calorie burning.

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  24 дні тому

      Thanks for the recommendation Mark!
      This is good especially for cartilage related knee injuries like Chondromalacia Patella and Osteoarthritis...BUT it's critical that you're using your glutes properly during the rowing exercise otherwise you might be over using the quads and actually making the knee pain worse in the long-run.

    Can being double jointed may cause my right shoulder always be cracking whenever I do shoulder or arm rolls? In addition, I'm double jointed in my right knee, left elbow and both ankles. I literally have to wear a knee brace in the winter months.

      Thank-you Dr David , I'm in the UK and have been greatly helped by your presentations reference hip Arthritis. I have avoided replacement surgery and found exercises that increase mobility and reduce pain and inconvenience. I trust your new venture goes well. Thank you RB

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  24 дні тому +1

      Hey Vicky, sorry to hear that you're getting shoulder cracking when doing arm rolls! Yes, having extra flexibility in your shoulder joints can lead to pushing the joints into motions they're not normally supposed to do. This can cause popping or cracking sounds. It's especially important to keep strong for those that are double jointed because you don't have as much joint stability as other people. But you will improve joint stability with better strength. It should help your knees too!

      Good luck to you ,oh and also if your on the heavier side please try and do your best at dropping a few pounds,I know it really helped me. Just changing the way and what I was eating I lost from 346 to 268 in just a few months without exercising,,Im 63 by the way.Peace &Grace ❤️

    DR DAVID…I HAVE A TORN ROTATOR CUFF THAT MY ORTHO DR SAYS ITS A COMPLETE THICKNESS TEAR AND OFF THE BONE. IS THERE ANY WAY TO REPAIR THIS BESIDES SURGERY?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  24 дні тому

      So sorry to hear that you're dealing with a complete thickness rotator cuff tear Sandy :-(
      We've had many people with this kind of tear go through our treatment approach and get their shoulder feeling great again. The worse the tear, the longer it will take to heal...and the greater the chance you might need to have surgery.
      But you'll never know if you can heal naturally unless you try!
      And even if you do have the surgery...there are usually root muscle imbalances that need to be fixed because they likely caused your rotator cuff to tear (unless you had a major accident).
      If you have rotator cuff repair surgery but never fix the root problem, then it's likely to tear again.
      You can't lose by going through our treatment approach.
