- On October 7, 2022, law enforcement officers noticed a vehicle with an improperly affixed license plate, raising concerns about compliance with regulations governing its display and visibility. Violations may result in legal consequences, such as fines or penalties. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers engaged in conversation with a female occupant to understand the situation. The encounter escalated when officers requested her license and decided to search the vehicle, revealing she was driving without one. Her aggression intensified with loud outbursts and refusal to cooperate, complicating the interaction. Despite attempts to de-escalate, she resisted arrest, assaulting an officer and using abusive language. Her continued defiance during transport and at the police station posed challenges for law enforcement. Despite inquiries, she remained uncooperative, facing charges including resisting arrest without violence, drug possession, and battery on officers, reflecting her actions during the arrest process.

In the times of the tyranny every act or move being judged as resistant. There was a time when your country was called as the land of the free. Today you just blink with your eyes and if the officer in that mood you committing the crime of resisting. If the officer made a mistake.. no problem, citizens will pay for the bill....

Yes Sara, those people are called the police. Resisting to them means making any movement whatsoever. I understand that the police deal with idiots quite often, but they themselves have become a real problem. Do you really believe the charge of battery against an officer occurred in this incident? That is ridiculous! Also, the phrase "stop resisting" is said by the cops automatically these days whenever they make any arrest whether the arrested is compliant or not.
If they cleaned up their acts even a little bit they could be seen as heroes like they used to be, but instead they are out of control and hated for it. And rightfully so.

Wow...I know her too she is a licensed broker and a FINRA agent she is popular in US and Canada she is really amazing woman with good skills and experience.
I remember giving her my first savings $20000 and she opened a brokerage account for me it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.

She got suspended becausr her insurance lapsed, so she thought when she renewed her insurance or got a new policy that automatically reinstates her license - but that's not how it works.
It's not, but if she had just kept her cool they probably would've just explained that to her and let her go with a fix-it ticket.

@@joshm2089 whatever she did was extremely minor. i concur that it should have been a lesser resist charge. some cops will take any little hit on arm, scuffle, bump, whatever, as a battery and or violence addition. they really did throw book at this girl even though she was fairly controlled, genuinely distraught and genuinely begging, genuinely believed she had fixed the issue. cops hear lies every single day . good people lie, bad people lie. sometimes truth comes out and its still not believed. its not their job to convict there on the spot. they have the necessary items to arrest. the judge and jury does the rest. she can fight in court. i've been wrongly arrested myself, not so much that the arrest was wrong, i was in wrong place and wrong time, but i was innocent. and it was dismssed in court. so i get it, it sucks. but its not the cops job to go abvove and beyond and become judge and juror on the spot.

@@joshm2089 based on what you are saying I think that yes all assault to cops should have a resist added automatically. Unless assault happens prior to being told under arrest. It is possible to resist w\o violence or assault so its possible to have a single resist or obstruction charge

During the lockdown I had car issues. No one could figure it out so I had to keep extending my registration until the check engine was finally off. It was such a stressful situation with everything on lock down right in the middle of this happening. Every week, I had to pay the dollar and, print the paper and tape,it to my back window. I was pulled over a ton of times, never was I arrested. I was warned and corrected on the right place to display the paper and let go.🤷♀️🤦♀️🤨👀🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
