I had one of these years ago when I lived in an apartment that didn't allow grills. I loved this thing and cooked just about everything with it. Even set it on fire once and still used it for a while after that. Since then I've had bigger charbroils that didn't last longer than 5 years and now I have a weber Genesis. I'm looking to get another one of these for camping soon and I'm pretty excited over this little grill.
My same sentiments on the previous Weber Gas Go Anywhere. They really messed up with the current design. After having probably 3 of those I went to the Weber Q 120. Now the Q 1200 and I absolutely LOVE IT and HIGHLY recommend it!! I have had the Q over 8 years and replaced the burner tube after 6 years, No complaints.......
I’ve been heavily considering the Q1200 but I love the size of the go anywhere. I’m actually filming a follow review on the char broil and I’m fed up with it. I’m thinking of buying the Weber go anywhere and then upgrading the grate and flavorizer to aftermarket parts. Happy cooking
I took the flat metal bottom piece out of mine which is above the burner and put in a small grate and covered it with lava rock. The lava rock gets hot and works well. A neighbor was throwing his old gas grill away and I took the temp guage out of his and drilled a hole in the lid and mounted the temp guage in mine. I love knowing what the temp is. On a windy day I covered some of the air holes in the bottom and the grill will keep burning even on a really windy day
Hey buddy good video, I too just bought one of this small affordable portable gas grill, I paid $35.00 plus $10.00 for 2 small propane containers spent total of $45.00 saving some cash @ the end & to be honest with u an everyone else watching & reading this comment, people u can not go wrong with this little grill, as small as it is or it made seeing it does the job for a very affordable price, I was about to buy the one the costs about $129.00 @ Walmart, which I am so glad that I didn't once I got this little but amazing Gigant gas portable grill, it won't disappoint u, so let's jus be realistic for the price believe it is worth every dollar. Gas wise is also a plus small gas containers making even easier to carry or transport @ any place or park of ur choice without breaking ur wallet so I give it a 5👍👍👍👍👍
Best $40 you can spend on a portable gas grill. I bought one for my sister in-law and I wish I would have kept it. Lol! We use it every year and it is really good. But we opted for the non deluxe version as the ignition system generally sucks. But this thing is amazing. I may order another just as a backup for my Weber Go Anywhere gas grill.
Nice review. I just bought the same one and would have bought the weber like you mentioned. God why did they have to use that crappy grill top. I thought it would be impossible to clean but heres a thought you could buy the weber and use the charbroil grill top if it fits. Would probably be a total waste of money though.
I’m glad you enjoyed this video. Unfortunately, I did an updated 1 year review and mine has failed on me. It also fell apart. I know others have had Goodluck with theirs. Maybe I was too rough with mine.
I have the cheapest gas grill from walmart , super cheap , no igniter but i noticed it has alot of airflow on the bottom i havent had problems with it turning off, just hate the lid dont have a hinge
Not sure why this one is shutting off so much. Glad yours from Walmart is working out. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe. Check out my other videos. Thanks again
My husband and I figured out that the reason why you're fire went out was lack of oxygen the new grill 190 deluxe that we just bought has Vents in the top
Yup! That’s what I suspected too. Thanks for the follow up. I will probably just slot some vent or drill a few holes myself. For the price, it’s not too bad. Thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe!
That’s a heck of a price. I think your good to go. Just look for that weird issue I was having with it blowing out. Please like and subscribe, happy grilling!
These types of grills absolutely suck straight off the factory. They are also amazing when you figure out how to adjust the regulator. If you pull the sticker off the plastic knob you find a Phillips head screw in there. Adjust to your liking. Beware if you turn it up all the way..
Hahaha. Agreed, I made a few adjustments and now she doesn’t shut off. For the price, it’s fine for now. Thanks for watching! Please like, share, and subscribe. Happy grilling!
I've had one of these for 4 years now. It goes camping with me. We had a problem with flare ups this weekend. When it does flare up, you have to shut off the propane. I'm thinking about switching to a portable charcoal grill. First though, I'm going to clean it. Maybe I'll look into a different propane tabletop grill.

I’m just pointing out what this grill should sell for so buyers don’t overpay. Thanks for watching. Happy grilling
@@tomwadek thank you for the response. Subbing to you right now for that lol I am running into a single flame. Not sure what's wrong. I'll keep messing with it. There's no hi. Low or medium for me. I think it's the tank
I can’t figure how to attach the electrode & ground wire. The instructions are vague & I have no idea what to do with them. I was hoping this video would address that but no luck.
check out my updated review, maybe theres some b-roll footage that can help. Unfortunately, I do not own this grill anymore otherwise I would get you a picture: ua-cam.com/video/NfpibcTlfeA/v-deo.html
Update: From those of you with this problem. Attach the electrode wire ie the one with the narrow end onto the electrode ie the narrow metal rod protruding from the white cylinder by pushing it over the electrode like a knife into its sheave. Then take the ground wire ie the one with loop on the end & one option is to loosen the closest screw of the handle in bottom & thread the screw through the loop & reattach the screw tightly. This will “ground” the ground wire so if there is unwanted electrical contact with the grill, the electric will be diverted to the ground wire instead of ruining the igniter & useful electrode wire. The ground wire will take the hit & the spark will surge through it & end up wherever it touches which will hopefully be nowhere harmful. You could have it touch anywhere that you think will not affect the electrode.
@@rodenttheclown4674 for real but I did find out where it goes. I found a picture of charbroils website. The ground wire is on the handle screw. It barely has enough wire but it does fit.
3:57 I talked about it. It's way shorter than it was drawn to be. Just find the nearest bolt you can hook it up to. I did it on te handle against the wall.
@@tomwadek yeah your right I did hear that but I just didn’t see where the wire went. The screw on the handle didn’t look like a good ground I was thinking it needed to be on bare metal. Good video though appreciate it!

Drilling some vent holes should solve the problem. The Weber Go Anywhere is much better and never has the blow out problem.

Amazon sells the old school weber parts to convert it. There are a whole bunch of aftermarket companies making parts for weber.

I love charcoal to be honest. You can close all the vents and lid to smother flare up quickly. The Weber go anywhere charcoal can’t be beat
Piece of aluminum foil will solve your problems .
What do I do if the ground wire came out of the handle while setting it up
If you are good with tools, crimp it back in or solder it. Otherwise, exchange it or call the customer service line
