I love this version. The other version is my favorite because of the "energy" in the song. But this is a close second. Mr. Rea's voice suits this version PERFECTLY. the orchestration is beautiful, haunting aided by the fact that von Trips ride is his last. The dark fadeout at the end is sad and yet beautiful. Someone pointed out this is film from his last race before he crashed and died after being ejected from his car. von Trips looked cool and confident as he drove what would be his final run. The entire production is awesome with a capital A!!!!! Mr. Rea did von Trips proud, here.
There is so rare singers which can give the soul and life of words and melodies. Chris is far from famous and ego. A angel inside him gives the pure life of the voice and everytime a cold shower is running of your back when her lips sounds the words. PURE.......

That's the only song of his I was familiar with. One day a couple of weeks ago I heard the song and wondered whatever became of him... lol. I google him and Bam, not only is the guy still in the business but he's a sensation in Europe and Australia!!! I came here to find some songs and my goodness, there's so many songs of his on YT. For the past two weeks, I have been absolutely enthralled by Mr. Rea. He is my new obsession!!! I can not get enough of him, his voice is killer!!! I'm glad to see his health is better, poor man, he's been through the ringer, healthwise. He's released a new album as of October '17. I'll have to check it out!! Be glad where you are now, toots!!! This is amazing footage! I don't think that people really understand this!? This is Von Trips at Monza 1961 filming himself in a sharknose Ferrari! 1961 go pro. Some hours later he clipped Jim Clarks Lotus before Parabolica taking 15 soules with him. Thank you Mr Rea for putting this footage out.

I'm sorry, but this is incorrect. I've read in a wikipedia article, that this footage was recorded 1960 at Monza. Also, the car he is using, is definitely not a Ferrar 156 but, as @Mercedes Clasnic allready noted, a Porsche 718 F2. I wonder, why he drove that 718 F2 in 1960, even though Porsche dropped him after the first GP of 1959. Therefore I suppose this footage has been ordered by Porsche.
