I attended this exact concert just 2 rows from the very front of the stage. It was electric just to watch him perform live songs, especially while in front of Princess Diana who was in the audience with a whole list of celebrities. This is one of my favourite MJ songs, but I will say that the best performance of this song has to be from the Bad tour in Yokohama in Japan. Go watch it and compare the difference. RIP MJ.
Glad you reviewed the Wembley 88 version as it's a firm favourite amongst fans. MJ's whole body was a musical instrument. Never stops for a moment. My favourite tour is the Bad tour as it reminds me of my youth. Anyway, that crowd...amazing. MJ got all his energy from crowd participation and you could see how delighted he was at how loud they sang along. You can easily see how he was beloved to many many billions of people. He sold this stadium out 7 times and had demand for 20x that. He has shed loads of GUINESS world records for this tour alone. Much missed.

Michael Jackson was an incredible entertainer and what a loss to have him pass away from such a preventable cause and just before his big comeback. A bit of trivia...this song was written by one of the keyboardists for the band Toto, Steve Porcaro, and the members of Toto were the backing band on the recording (3 or 4 of them were also all over the album Thriller).
Michael was very misunderstood his father was a greedy tyrant who made him work all the time and the guy never had a happy childhood but when he broke free of his grip he decided he was going to enjoy the childhood he missed that why he loved children and created the carnival rides with tge kids not abnormal about that just persuing a dream then everybody turned sour could not understand that behavior but a smart person could put it together i understood him bless his beautiful soul dear lord and forgive those who trasspassed against him
