- Dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo says she and her siblings took a yacht in order to escape the Philippines. She says they stayed there for about 3-5 days. The details are contrary to the testimony of Guo's alleged sister Sheila when she appeared before the same Senate committee.

These hearings are a waste of time. Just charge her with a crime and try her in court instead of this political grandstanding that's going nowhere. Honestly disappointing that even Risa Hontiveros keeps allowing Guo to just keep them talking in circles pointlessly for hours. It might be unfair that I hold her to a higher standard but jesus christ she sounds like she's scolding a child, not questioning a Chinese national accused of completely infiltrating both the country and its government. I think this hearing is useless. I believe that the best course of action is to strike a deal with Alice Guo and the people involved that are now under their custody to provide the names and information of the other syndicates involved. This has gone for way too long, Risa Hontiveros is not doing enough to get her to talk.
