Yeah, but the real problem is who's buying these games? For 20 bucks, you can buy games like Resident Evil 8, or for even better comparsion Ghost Runner these days. I really don't see this going down as a good deal compared to games on that level of technicality and content. It's a no contest, it could work if they would throw out these retro games for under 10$ , but 20$ and above is just way too much to ask for games in this 2d retro style...

If you’re into hard platformers most of your options are going to be indie devs as this isn’t the “mainstream” type of game anymore unfortunately. Plus, indie devs typically make games they’re passionate about and that leads to a very well polished game that has a lot of love put into it. It’s nice to be able to support small studios as well

The developer wanted a game with the level design as Mario; the action of Ninja Gaiden; the enemies of Contra; and a dark theme like Batman. To that guy I say Thank You and hope we have a release date soon cause this is a Day 1 buy for me.
The music is the everything of this game. This theme is so amazing that I bought the game only because the music from the trailer. "Geothermal Towers Part1", amazing, and it's now on Spotify.
Can't stop replaying the end of the video ^^ That song is so AMAZING !!! from 1:22 to the end, especially the drums solo at the end & each part of it perfectly put beforehand :) Just great !! It's like witnessing the songs I always had in my head when I was a child & thought I could make music but I was never enough talented to put it this awesome or have the determination to do it.

This is one incredible upgrade from the Ninja Gaiden NES games. As one of the players who actually beat the US version of NG1 for the NES, count me in. There has been no Ninja game that has bested me. Though NInja Gaiden 1 did have me cursing a lot. The run from 6-2, 6-3, and then the boss was brutal.
