Sister , Flo Lum: I just wanna say You're Amazing & Thank You - I've been re-crafting & tryna make good with my prep work.. & have but tweaked Everything somewhat, near success.. But except My slurry ( ..Always thought Scientifically in my Head that boiling water would dissolve starch readily ) Yet no matter what i tried, couldn't seem to get the starch clumps to wholly dissolve without leaving a mechanic mixture of particle clumps. That last Episode you suggested cold water against my instincts.. & voila! the starch fully dissolved!
Really interesting fact regarding Chow mein 🤔 I will be sure to eat some on my upcoming birthday in accordance with your wise inlaws 😊 one of these delicious looking recipies should do 🎉 thank you .
Dear Flo, I love your recipes, and I love your cooking technique! You always suggest substitutes which is helpful for me cause I cannot find some ingredients in Turkey. Now I ordered my wok, waiting for its arrival from amazon then I'll start trying your recipes starting with three cup chicken 🥰😋🌻🍀
In Filipino we call these Pancit. Cooking 4 different noodles reminds me of my small city in the Philippines that has a diversity of Chinese-Filipino and Chinese immigrants. With so many Chinese restaurants, but don't have the same noodle dishes. That just shows, they all come from different parts of China. But Lo Mein, became the #1. Because we are from a coastal city, it comes with a variety of seafood. Shrimp Lo Mein, Green Mussels Lo Mein, Squid Lo Mein and now a days Combination Lo Mein(Beef, Pork, Chicken and Shrimp). Last week I cook Pork, Chicken and Shrimp Lo Mein for my coworkers. Except one of them is from Nepal and he wants SPICY HOT. I added 20 pieces of green Thai chilis. It was not HOT enough for him at least. Simple dish to cook but can easily be ruined.
@@FloLum i am from North Europe where prices is high, I could probably find some stores with premium product with the same price. But in my discount supermarket I can normally find something cheaper. Beef is too expensive, so I only buy pork or chicken. My personally guideline is what ever is about 8-9$ pr kilo is ok. i dont know what it is in pound.
@@HenrikWind 1 kg is 2.2 pounds, so you can just about figure that half a kilo is a bit more than a pound. I find that helpful, as an American living in Africa.
You can use any green leaf vegetable you want to substitute like bok choy or spinach. If you want to use broccoli or asparagus, you just have to adjust the amount of time it takes to cook them.
Noodles are great anytime. Do you agree? Happy weekend! 💕
Absolutely! Happy weekend! 🎉😘

You can always use the carcus of the chicken to make homemade chicken stock. Much more healthy as well than store bought stocks

BTB does have sugar in it - so if we use something other than Better than B should we up the sugar?
Nah… I wouldn’t. I don’t think it’s detectable in BTB enough to add more.
Across I agree ❤

2 x chicken breast = $12 ...wth?? Here in the Uk we can get 3 to 4 for just under £6. (7.5) Usd. And we complain about that...ha ha
Shrimp paste
Instead of corn starch do you ever use arrowroot powder ❓
