- What’s life like for a little person, living in a world built for taller people? The short documentary “The Towers,” directed by Oliver Arnoldi and Maria Chiu, was born out of that question. “I was very interested in how they interact with a city like New York, how they live in it, how they get around physically,” Arnoldi says. Arnoldi and Chiu spent months with the the Towers, a basketball team made up of athletes who are little people. I love how the video starts with 1 minute of Clinton getting around in New York and the first thing he says is that he wishes he could fly. I like how we are given the context behind his wish, and I really admire how he doesn't ask for something like being "normal" instead. I think he's got more love for himself than people twice his size; we could all learn a thing or two from him. Great vid, really enjoyed it :)

I came to the comment section to try and write something meaningful because I must admit this video/story touched me. But, Your comment is just perfect so I’ll piggyback on your thread here. I do want to say one thing though. I am 6’5” tall and I weigh 340 lbs. I am not fat, I am football player huge though. Now at 55 yrs old with the 5 back surgeries, double knee surgeries and plenty of arthritis I’d like to say there are difficulties on this end of the spectrum too. But, I am blessed compared to the long list of health issues many little people are either born with or develop over their lifetime. I’m so happy for him that he has found love, a good career, and great friends. He seems to be such a likable guy I’m sure that part has come pretty easy for him. “I wish I could fly”....A beautiful statement.

I’m 13 and like 4’6 and I can’t think of a SINGLE school day where someone hasn’t teased or made fun of me bc of my height, his school life must have truthfully sucked
People like this make me realize that I’m not living my best life. Even with all of the challenges that he has faced from the day he was born, he’s achieved way more than most at a normal size. His attitude, drive, personality, should be an inspiration to us all. I’m blown away. People like this should speak at high schools, etc regularly.
