I watched Fate/Zero and subsequently UBW after, and realized that a lot of the problems in Zero were fixed by UBW. For example, (spoiler alert btw), Kirei’s death at the hands of his own lancer servant not only acts as Rin indirectly avenging her father, but in my mind cemented that Lancer servant as one of the best fate characters, especially when u remember that just moments before, he suffered the same wound that killed Diarmuid in Zero, but got back up on his feet, stabbed Kirei through the heart and delivered arguably the coldest line in the entire mainline Fate series, where he says “I’m sorry Kotomine, but if a scratch like that did me in, I wouldn’t be much of a hero, now would I?”. On top of this, I honestly think Kiritsugu killing Irisviel inside the Grail was just an illusion, and he essentially killed a hologram created by the grail that was basically mocking his personal ideals, bc Kiritsugu never wanted to kill anyone, until his hand was forced bc letting them live would mean the deaths of many more innocent people. This is also supported by the fact that Irisviel genuinely loved Kiritsugu and even adopted his ideals as her own. The real Irisviel would never say the kinds of things Kiritsugu heard in the grail. My theory is that the grail making Kiritsugu see a hologram of Irisviel was just the grail’s way of toying with Kiritsugu before killing his dream of a peaceful world, both in his mind, by revealing that the grail itself has a will of its own and wants to plunge the world into chaos, as well as in the outside world, through its destroying of the entire city of Fuyuki, as well as its action of resurrecting Kirei and Gilgamesh, bc the grail thought they were the perfect duo capable of destroying the world. However, this threat would eventually be ended in the 5th Holy grail war, (UBW’s main focus), when the Emiya gang pulled up and destroyed the grail before it could reach its true power. But hey, that’s just a theory 😉 A FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLMMMMMMMMMM THEORY
Kiritsugu is the most tragic hero for me. If he had run from the war with his family, Kirei definitely would have won the Grail so that means all the world would have died and suffered. Just by not retiring from the war, Kiritsugu avoided the destruction of humanity, even if he lost everything and choose the wrong path for saving humanity, he succeded at becoming a hero, so he fullfilled his promise to Shirley, Natalia and Iris (ironically the three hands who try to reach Kiritsugu's hand in op 2). It's such a bittersweet ending.
There’s no guarantee that kirei would have killed tokiomi especially with the war being so different without kiritsugu. I’d say a tohsaka win would be just as likely as a kirei one.
So i'm currently watching the 2006 and UBW of stay night, ep 14 on the 2006 anime, and probably ep 6 or 5 on UBW, but nothing will be able to prepare my mentality to watch fate/zero and heaven's feel, i am legit too scared of what my mentality would be after watching those two.
That's the beauty of fate zero it's not the story of heros it's not good versus evil the show hints at it all throughout with th different families cheating and fighting dirty all of them were greedy and had to realize that they were all fighting a losing battle from the start I think it's actually a amazing anime and story it questions morality it's dark and ugly but it's a hard truth that not everyone can be the hero sometimes you're just another villain with their own ideals and motives

Hahahahaha I know it sounds like a very intense series! Idk if I’m prepared to watch more haha
@@eagleeyedsamurai oh trust me, it is. I've played the mobile game of Fate/Grand Order, and it is just as sad, if not sadder than the anime series.

My guy didnt watch Clannad
Yooo look at my past few videos; I did a review on the first few episodes
@@eagleeyedsamurai then dont finish it, you will want to punch a screen
Nothing is more devastating than berserk 1997 ending
Ouuu I’ll have to check it out
I’d say the release of the Netflix version was more devastating. A crime upon the franchise.
The show peaked at Zero
Interesting! I was told to watch Fate Stay Night as well but it doesn’t get better than this you say?
@@eagleeyedsamuraiit's an okay anime and an incredible visual novel
