My playthrough of Wings of Liberty, commented this time and in 1080p. I do my best to either get all the achievements or explain how to get them on a lower difficulty.

Jay, you can usually just take all remaining forces you have right as you get her base and just go ROFLstomp, even on Brutal. When I did it, I just faced the base and when the nuke came I pressed further in. The final part is just a brute force push from the first second. Especially if you made a decent amount of marines and medics in the first half.
This tileset has always really stood out in Wings of Liberty. It's really different from pretty much every other tileset (and it also surprised me because I forgot it existed when I started playing again after leaving the game for a while). It doesn't really have that urban feel, but it's definitely not barren, or natural, or ancient. It's a gross, dense slum, which we haven't seen in any other part of any other StarCraft game.

For the second ramp, I actually built a viking to gain vision, and I jsut slowly advanced my tanks, so I could shoot his tanks with mine out of his vision range.
I like to come watch the videos right after I finish the missions ^^
I don't like the fact that mission is considered lost if you fail this mineral challenge. Would be great if player could just build all the things up and then fight both Orlan and Mira.
agreed i let him get the 6000 mins one time and just built up in my base to see if u could just kill both of them and you cant like wut the heck
Funny thing is I never even knew that Mira's troops would be available for commandeering as I'd always been destroying Orlan's base before gathering the required amount of minerals o.O
i was still a brood war player so i did the same....only messier xd
I replayed this on Hard recently. I had a bunch of Zerg research and researched Hercules dropship. It made it a lot easier because Orlan's anti-air weren't that great. I loaded it up with marines and medics and dropped them right on top of his command centers. It's easier when you don't have to fight your way in and out. In the second part I did the same but loaded it up with Reapers. Reapers made short work of his main command center. He didn't even have time to start the nuke.
Jay! Did you know that you can still talk to characters on the Hyperion (including Raynor) even if their names aren't highlighted. You've missed some good dialog. Tycus says: " Do you know what I'm going to do first when I get out of this suit?" You also said you wanted to keep Dr. Hanson aboard for longer, so why not talk to her everytime you get back. She has more dialog also. Actually they all do. Keep up the excellent work you're doing. Some day I might actually get to watch all of your stuff!
You had a planetary fortress, you needed an Orbital Command
Pretty convenient that Mengsk managed to find this exact Adjudant in the ruins of Tarsonis, and that you were warned early enough to intercept it. I know this campaign needed a side story against Mengsk cause it's what Raynor do when he's not fighting Kerrigan, but it's just too much of a coincidence.

There is a hero diamondback call the red adder in the map editor of hots,but it has no custom skin and is unused.

For a while I strongly preferred the Command Center Reactor before the Automated Refinery. I maybe simply prefer having lots of workers, but on SC2 it doesn't work like it did on SC1. On SC1 basically you need those 20 workers, while here they sometimes don't feel too much needed. Still I hate the resources are gathered in rounds of 5 instead of in rounds of 8. But it's bearable.
I love to see characters like Mira Han, we need more chaotic neutral ones!

Mira is lawful. Not the laws of the Dominion, but she lives by a strict code. She's not going to betray a client after finalizing a job, as evidenced in HotS.
Late to the party but you can kill the neutral flying ships for slavage.

I like to think that after Mengsk ordered Raynor to rescue Duke back in Rebel Yell, the Magistrate kept an adjutant aside and secretly recorded all the group meetings afterwards, and used it as an insurance policy when Mengsk went too far, and that adjutant was his. Since apparently he went is own way about a month or so after Tarsonis. Speaking of SC1 player characters, what do you think Kerrigan did with the cerebrate she made in brood war?
I don't think there's an official story specifically for the Ep6 Cerebrate, but Metzen let out a tidbit that all Cerebrates are now dead because they aren't meant to live without the Overmind.
To be fair just how in character would that be for Queen of Blade kerigan to murder the last cerebrate even if they were under her control jsut to make sure she wouldn't have another Duran on her claws ?
I believe that Adjutant belongs to Duke himself. and it recorded all the conversations they had up to the point on the last mission on Rebel yell. And then some time before they went back to Korhal to forge the Dominion, Duke uninstalled the Adjutant and put in a new one that worked for the Dominion and tossed the confederate one in the left over tarsonis warehouse.
The player Cerebrate canonically died defending Kerrigan in the final BW mission.
Tarsonis was overrun by the Zerg for years, why on earth would he leave the adjutant there of all places? That's not something you casually discard for others to find, you either destroy it or keep it close.
Imagine if Jim was a Vulture bike hero here in this mission like in Starcraft 1

Except Duke didn't die anywhere near Tarsonis, he died on Korhal. Why would he leave that on Tarsonis if it was his? He would have kept it close by as potential insurance to use against Mengsk, not leave it on a Zerg-infested world.

orlan sent tanks to me right as i was attacking the third command center
if u kill his CCs and dont get the 6000 mins but kill his main CC before he gets 6000 mins Raynor says something only a little different at the end
... So I'm confused. I got hit with Ravens out the ass doing this mission on Hard, ravens that successfully obliterated my defending force before I was aware they were there half the time.
Selonianth Shinjitsu and by Ravens out the ass, I mean I got maybe... 2 attacks from him with no ravens. Then they just sent ravens, who would just throw a seeker at me from point blank range.
Perhaps Blizzard forgot to carry over the increased Raven output to Brutal difficulty.

I do this mission barely just the same way, however I use some hellions and am costantly on the move. When I get Mira Han, I simply deploy all the machinery I have and the ending becomes easy.
How are you able to select enemies? I can't...
Is this brutal ?
