Think you’ll find Irish ☘️ Centre will be busier at night I believe, in UA-cam Kevin if you type Gran canary you will see live Yumbo Centre and Irish Centre, showing crazy Golf and panning over to Green Field, nice temperatures out there , Glad a lot of Folk are enjoying the videos Kevin, enjoy 🍻 🍻 cheers
You do a great service to those who can no longer travel abroad.they bring so many lovely memories.I feel so comfortable in either gran canaria and lanzarote.tour a great lad and it makes it a bit special being a fellow red..thanks for everything laddie
Good on you Kevin. in mentioning how ppl are uplifted by watching your vlogs. You thoroughly deserve the credit you get my friend. You are obviously aware our weather back in UK has took a turn for the worst so seeing your videos capturing great resorts and gorgeous weather right now makes us all feel so much more positive and eager to book up and travel overseas again. Ive missed it all big time due to work commitments and pandemic. My last trip was to Lanz in Jan 2019. Plesaed to say ive booked up Corallejo in 63 days time. Yes im counting haha. Anyway keep em coming you do a great job showcasing the sights of resorts and an idea of cost to go out to eat and drink per resort too,
This brought back great memories when I met a group of Irish girls who stayed at The Green Fields great times 😉 watch out sun Maspolamas there’s a nudist beach on the sand dunes ,that’ll get great views 😂😂
It’s lovely to hear your videos are helping so many for various reasons. It really is uplifting when you can escape awhile to a warm sunny climate from the comfort of your own home. I haven’t been abroad in three years and am desperate to go somewhere next year 🤞🏻🤞🏻Keep em coming Kevin!
We stayed on the edge of that resort, overlooking Maspalomas golf course. Where you are is a good way from where we stayed as it's a much bigger resort than people realise. There's a good block of shops and bars down by the beach with a good Chinese cafe that also just does a bar service which we enjoyed. To be honest, we didn't see enough of the resort as it was during a world cup and the bar in the hotel was showing the games.
keV the Europa centre is less than a third the size of the main centre, and is not all that, a couple of pubs restaurants and shops and that's it, better night life Is in the main centre down below, playa delingles looks shocking, maspalomas is beautiful but expensive, most life what I've seen is down at the beech and behind it, always windy there and busy day and night, deffo expensive place do, enjoy kev
Hi Kevin I hope all's well. I stayed in the Greenfield Hotel in '91 and '95, the Irish Centre was brilliant in its day but there was never a huge abundance of pubs/bars/restaurants even back then and it was always a bit of a quiet area - sometimes too quiet during the day. The Irish Jockey, Randy Leprechaun and Hawaiian Tasca were three outstanding places for food and drink. Hopefully it returns to former glories but it's hard to see that happening any time soon. Look after yourself. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
New sub, have watched many of your walks though, this one brings back memories from my childhood going on the summer holidays, crazy that we still get Christmas cards off a Spanish chap my da bought a camera from his shop in the casbah centre 'Irish jockey' I think he goes by used to love spending my days in the pool and then out for the night with my late ma and my da, I can still remember the smell of thd place as I watch you stroll through town. Anyway keep up the amazing content and stay safe brother, all the best from an Irish cousin.
I understand being a Scot you’d want to stay in the Irish Center area, but it’s perhaps the worst part of Playa Del Ingles. There are much nicer sections of PDI on the other side of Avenida Tirajana, closer to the dunes from Avenida Gran Canaria. . Nobody goes to Kasbar anymore except for retirees for the dance that is held there. CITA is fairly quiet during the day. Most opt for shopping at the newer shopping malls. The night life at Yumbo is by far the best. There’s an equal number of gay and straight bars there with several good restaurants. Everyone mixes perfectly well. Meloneras is also quite nice. I’ ve lived in both Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Though I like both, I prefer Gran Canaria. There’s a freer spirit here and not as many drunken tourists. It’s difficult to describe but it’s just more livable than Tenerife. It’s also great having a city with all the cultural venues within 45 minutes. Seems like you had fun though.
Neither do I! As I said it’s the worst part of town but possibly not fair in condemning an a entire town because of one small section. Cheap, more often than not, has a reason! But it’s much more animated this week as the winter tourists return.
Thanks Kevin, you brought back memories of the bars in the irish centre and things look exactly the same as they did 20 years or more ago .wonder if the harp bar still there in the back of the greenfield apts all irish back then. Not much in maspalomas but lovely beach .want to say Kevin your videos are a blessing to everyone and it gives us an uplifting feeling and informative and honest opinions on areas we might want to go but may never so just be you as Des produced a goodin so from one of the superstars cheers 💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍
I follow a couple of the local vloggers there, sadly they don't speak English. Buy they have vlogged Las Palmas and it looks really nice, massive beach and very modern and cosmopolitan.
Unbelievable. A gang of us are staying in the Bronze Playa for four nights on the 24th. I was wondering what the area around it was like. Now I know. Cheers Kev 👍😁
Brill again, cheers Kev. Just a note not sure if you notice this video is in HD1080P , but yesterdays is in HD1080P 60 so the file size per minute could be larger. Might explain the upload speed difference 👍
10:47 that is exactly why I do my walks too Kev! I have a few subs that are also disabled and have mental health issues. Nothing helps more then being out in nature and having a smile for everyone you greet! I recently did a walk for my Mum who was not feeling well, check it out and some of my other walks if you ever get the chance Kev!! :)
OMG! The place NEXT to where you are staying is called Agaete Park - I stayed there back in 1988. It was grim then! Never been back to Gran Canaria since. Prefer Tenerife and Fuerteventura. ☺️
Hi Kevin, you say no one like the beach views. Take a nice stroll down beach head to next location in front of maspalomas your may need you filter on your camera but I guarantee you will get plenty of views. It’s quite a walk 😅
Love the videos Kevin. Keep them coming. When you back in Tenerife? Can’t wait to go back in June. Hopefully you will be out there at the same time so we can bump into you! Would be great if you had an insta aswell!
I was in Ingles for Pride last week, and definitely have no where near any affection for Gran Canaria like I have for Tenerife/Americas. Tenerife is a very special place, and many have lots of fond memories, there just something about Tenerife, I think I’ve been 6 times since 2017. Gran Canaria doesn’t compare.
Stayed in PDI in 1988 and scarred me for life 😂.. ran out of money, no sleep (noisy) for 2 weeks, and was constantly hit upon (blonde hair!!)... Not been back and no matter how good your vlogs make it look, I'm never going back 🙈😂

Hello I am going to Gran Canaria in September Would you be able to Video around and take photos of the hotel that I am staying in So I can see what it's like, please The name of the hotel is mur aparhotel Buenos Aires please
Hi wee Kev.I.N, I'm shocked at how quiet PDL is these days. That COVID shutdown looks to have damaged PDI. The Irish Centre area is still a bloody mess, just flattened everything and never rebuilt it, it's just a brick paved wasteland, my own personal thoughts of course. The lower promenade bars and cafes are always busy in the day and evening of course. With cost of living etc in both UK and Europe I think the businesses will suffer again if folks can't afford major holidays? Cheers DougT
Should have stayed in play bronze in March but tu cancelled it be getting sent to sister hotel wasn't happy 😒 so just cancelled it not sure of this place its so quiet Kevin 👍👍👍👍
Obviously only my personal opinion, as said b4 its pretty dated, most bars are in the shopping centres. Just wasnt for me,as kev said it was super quiet. Did a couple of nights at yumbo but was pretty same same. Tbf i think it more geared to the Germans and lgbt community and if i was gay id of been bored after a couple of days.
