Clutch #11 is here, and it's the LAST one of 2024! We're cutting the eggs from our Pastel Enchi Desert Ghost het Clown male paired to a Hypo het Clown female who we think might be a visual Desert Ghost! This could mean we could hatch some incredible Desert Ghost Clown babies to end the year with a BANG! 🤞
Join us as we cut each egg and get our first look at these potential beauties. We'll share all the gorgeous hatchlings and talk about what we're looking for to identify the Desert Ghost Clown combos.

Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Thank you :)
@boidsrus you're most welcome! 😁 I personally don't have the money or space to responsibly care for snakes, especially living up in Maine. I'd be terrified of losing power and heat during the winter which happens a lot. But, my toddler and I looove watching clutch videos and thankfully we have ( Dr Drew and His Animals Too ) up here so we can visit some amazing snakes and other reptiles.
I am curious though, I see a lot of similarities in Spider, enchi and bamboo morphs, are they connected somehow?
Great that you are a responsible person and can fulfill your passion in different ways. You will have one at the right time. The three morphs are not related. Spiders are in the Spider complex, so are
Champagne
Chocolate
Cypress
Hidden Gene Woma
Sable
Spotnose
Woma
Wookie
Bamboo is in the blue eye lucy complex and so are
Daddy Gene
Honey
Lesser
Mocha
Mojave
Mystic
Phantom
Russo
Special
Enchi are in the 8 Ball (Cinnamon/Black Pastel complex) so are
Black Pastel
Cinnamon
Enchi
Het Red Axanthic
Huffman
Jolt
Razor
These are all allelic which means that if you have a combo of black pastel enchi in one animal, all of its offspring are going to be either Black Pastel or Enchi, but not both. Some allelic combinations are lethal like spider x spider or champagne x spider. Others can cause extreme extreme head wobble like spider x cypress and some super forms like cinnamon x cinnamon can cause extreme deformities like spine kinks and duck bill.
The only similarity in the three genes that you mentioned are the banding pattern between the spider and enchi, but bamboos have some sort of banding too along with their back stripe.
I hope this helps you. 😊
@@boidsrus thank you for explaining that. 😀 I always like to learn new things
