As a Winter player in Canada, I hope they bring back the remote incense (1 spawn every 60 seconds and not 5 minutes for the hour) that feature was awesome!

Unfortunately the research reward is free so it will always be awful. No fun unless you spend money
Or the weekly free remote. It promoted social play and gave players a choice of whichever pokemon they wanted! Mega, 5 star or other chase poke they were wanting.
Honestly i really like the routes system but the rewards are abysmal. Imo, these would make routes so much more enjoyable (along with general bug fixes):
- zygarde cells guaranteed when completing different routes each day
- significantly increase route spawns and separate them from zygarde cell spawns (so you can get both in a route without one decreasing the other)
- rare chance for 10% zygarde to spawn on routes, similar to galar birds (would allow players to attempt to get better ivs and more easily get candies)
- medals for routes completed and unique routes completed
- track progress for individual route badges with higher tier badges giving better rewards on completion
- routes giving better rewards in general (namely cTMs instead of just fTMs, and possibly special eggs from routes)

I could see Manaphy released via an egg that takes 100km to hatch since thats how its gained in Gen 4
now it is march 2024 and the solo ready up butten exist but you only can use it solo when there is 90 seconds left on the lobby timer

The best feature what is missing in game would be remote trade,i have a lot of lucky friends around the world and cannot meet them to trade and i think with this feature will bring the game back to his early potential,you are doing a great job,keep it like that .

The whole point of trading with friends is to meet them in person so maybe not remote regular trades. But as you said, remote lucky trades really should've been added to the game by now

My first Rout got removed for no reason or notice. They should speed up animations when attacking gyms (once you take down a Pokémon and start the next battle takes ages).
The first thing I want is for Niantic to hire someone who can code xp calculations correctly. During the "5x XP for spinning a new Pokestop" event, I spun just over 400 new stops, all with a lucky egg going. At 300xp for a new stop times 5 to get to 1500, times two for a lucky egg means it should've given 3000xp, but only gave me 2600 for each. 400 stops times 400 less exp means I got 160,000 less xp than I should have. This is not the first time that the calculation for an xp bonus was incorrect.

Its 250xp for new stop and 50xp for the stop itself. With the 5x bonus it was 250xp x 5= 1250 + 50xp = 1300xp per stop spun. X2 with your lucky egg brings it to 2600xp spinning a stop.

@@SiwelD- I'm not sure where you're getting the +50xp from, but according to all the sources I've seen, it's 300xp for spinning a new stop, not 250xp.
I am level 50 so I don't care but I feel if you increase the level cap right now it would discourage people who have not reached level 50 yet. That's my feeling.
As a level 47 who has been grinding for 5 years now, you are entirely correct
I'm now where close to lv 40 I'm lv 38 to 39
I feel like increasing the level cap would make it less balanced. Level 60 Pokemon can probably solo more legendary raids, Master League would make it less playable for people who haven't reached level 60 or harder to grind XL candy for it, etc to the point where a lot of things just favor the few who can get to level 60 quicker than others.

Dude I’m just getting to the point where playing ML is within reach. If I now have to grind double the XL candies I’m going to be so pissed
I just want a way for newer players to get old and exclusive Pokémon that are no longer available for them, like zarude or some of the ultra beasts. Aswell as Marshadow being added to the game :)

My thoughts regarding level cap increase would mean raids may need to be rebalanced because then it may be easier to solo 4/5* raids, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but may not be something niantic would want to happen?
I absolutely believe that the breed to get an egg concept would be a huge great thing in fact I've thought about it myself multiple times! I also would love to see a little more time added to the daily incense because I'm in a very rural place like 3 or 4 spinners and 2 gyms but the space in between is not far but a pain in the A and I always wonder if I'm better off using the daily when I first start or after I've walked a ton which by then I'm pretty tired out lol also for the people who love pokemon in general plus playing the game BUT are not able to put several KM behind them due to physical problems that the daily should be a bit more effective. Also the several types of balls that we don't see should definitely be available in research tasks with the in game choices where you get to choose your path towards what you would rather have.
Even though i highly doubt this, but they should do an update on the buddy history to where is there is a buddy in your history you got rid of, you can have the option of removing it, that way the only pokemon that remain on your buddy history are the pokemon you currently still have
Introducing a Pokemon centre would be a good idea. I hope we can remote trade in the Pokemon centre as in Pokemon anime.
Thought this was a reupload until I realized it was focused around features in game not Pokemon LOOOL. Thank you for your insight on 2024, I really agree with the Wondertrade part, and think they could definitely implement it so you have more of a chance to get regional Pokemon. It would help for the people who have to work and have to miss certain events, or just live in the middle of nowhere (no Pokestops or Gyms) and not many of their friends play either. Or maybe, for the grinders, you get a cool shiny you've never even thought about. But it would definitely have to have a cooldown like one a day, or even one a week, so you can't sit there and spam Wondertrades to finish your Pokedex.
I think lvl 60 is close to coming, I mean look at all the XP events they've had lately. I would also like to get field research (if i have room) even if my items bag is full.
Honestly, I like some of the ideas that you put in the video. Routes and party play, 100% agree. Remote raids, I don't think Niantic is going to put them back to semi-normal. New pokeballs on the other hand would be cool to see. As for the level cap, I'm not sure about that one. On the one hand it would be great. On the other hand, I'm currently at level 44 trying to get to level 45 so😅. If they do do it, they either have to have ways for us to gain more XP or lower how much XP it takes to get to the next level. Overall great video!
While optimistic, I don't really see much of this happening. Breeding is probably the one big idea I think Niantic should focus on. It's a core part of the pokemon franchise, eggs and incubators would net them a ton of money, and people would be given the opportunity to choose which pokemon they want to shiny hunt/IV hunt. It'd be a win for everyone. But because it's a win for everyone that's the reason I can't see them actually doing it.
Personally this was the year I kinda cut back on playing this game. Firstly the remote raid nerf just ruined morale in my local community to the point where a lot of my local friends have just stopped playing altogether. With how adamant Niantic's been about the remote raid decision, there's absolutely no way they're going back on that. They're proud of that decision. They're sticking to their guns. And y'know...fair. They can do what they want. I don't have to like it, but I also don't have to give them money. There's other ways they could give life to the game in small ways. I still want a steady way to earn XL rare candies. Like a guaranteed incentive from doing in person raids. I feel like this is not that hard of an ask. Or better rewards from routes and/or party play. Something more than a couple of berries or some stardust. I don't think Niantic needs to make huge, grand changes. Just some smaller quality of life things would be good.
Also unranked GBL...they absolutely need to make unranked GBL. That's the only huge change I would care about at this point.
It would be interesting if they did add legendary eggs to the game like the thumb nail shows. But, they should add poke centers, breeding, or mass trading. Or even, legendary wild spawns. We'll see what happens in 2024
Anybody think they might just add "prestige" into the game? I don't think it's realistic for reasons I will explain later, but for now just some fun. I don't know what it would do exactly but if I had to guess it would probably give:
1. Some % boosts for catching Pokemon (that +1 to +4 you see on the level of your Pokemon type badges,)
2. Rare spawns on activated items/interactions (incense, lures, daily incense, routes, etc.),
3. At least one new research story about prestiging, potentially even with an exclusive encounter with extremely valuable and/or limited and/or useful Pokemon in Research that couldn't be discovered elsewhere, even unobtainable otherwise,
4. Increases to the level xp requirements per prestige and the item drop rarity and/or quantity,
5. Occasional boosts for events that give extra xp or stardust only for players with a prestige or more (probably +1% or +2% per prestige or something, idk), and maybe selection locked, so you can't have multiple,
6. A slight increase to the max level of Pokemon with an absolute, defined, new cap? If level 60 never hits and they prestige people will be bummed about no more levels. They could add +0.5 to +2 levels per prestige, depending on the stats and what they're going for.
The reason I don't think they'll add prestige is because BrandonTan91 and FleeceKing don't fall within the scope of Normal players. Say each prestige did make you gain more xp. Say it was 10% more each level, or 17.6 million more than what level 50 already is. While it may be cool to say you prestiged, it's unrealistic to expect somebody to earn: 176 million xp,
+ 176 million xp + 10%,
+176 million xp + 20%,
+176 million xp + 30%,
etc.
It's like a clicker game at that point. Each level already scales dramatically. Level 37? Not even halfway to 40. Level 47? You're a little past halfway to 50. Add prestige into it and you get at least over 1 billion lifetime xp. Try going from level 1 to level 47 10 times in a row. And that's the minimum just for arguments sake.
So, levels 51-60 are much more likely. But I hope this was fun!!

For the routes I have done, I have noticed a greater spawn rate of Tauros (a local regional). I don't know if that is by design but it would be nice if regionals had a greater spawn chance on routes. That way those who are traveling can have a greater chance of catching regionals, especially during events where normal spawns can be limited.
I personally would like to see the Pachirisu regional availability expanded from its current regions of Alaska, Siberia/Russia (which is, to say the least, politically and socially problematic), and northern canada. Maybe expand it to include Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, Scandinavia, and more of canada (at least down to the US/Canadian border)
2 months later the Ready up works on solo raids!
I think they prevent solo ready up so that people in the area have time to get to the gym when they see the 'people in lobby' icon above it.
The ability to send out gift quickly would be nice. Sending out 100 per day is a drag and find myself struggling to do so. Especially during events.
I think you underestimate how nice Routes are for casual players. It's a really nice feature for people who use Pokemon Go to walk and socialize. The Mateo gifts are also a fun touch. It would be cool if they enhance it with better spawns or make the number of Route spawns higher, but the Routes feature is a good one. One of the Routes I created had over 1000 users completing it a few months ago and I had only walked that route a few times.
Agree they need to wonder trade pokemon in routes vs Gifts.
And I don't have any players close to trades and remote raid passes are great help but prices are too high vs other.
Level 50 seems like a good even number to stop at, would honestly hate if they added levels past that.
Not to mention, probably only .1% of players have, or will ever reach level 50 in the first place, so adding levels beyond 50 seems pointless.
I would really love Zygarde cells to be rewarded upon route completion rather than inconsistently spawning on the map during the last 100 meters of the route. The clan idea you had is really good and would give Niantic a better opportunity to flesh out party play.
Remote raid passes need to be guaranteed as a research breakthrough reward is another thing I'll add to the list.
Fr tho if they gonna make it past lvl 50 it's gotta go to 100

Larvesta community day and they should do regional eggs. Eggs with regional pokémon in them: Sawk, Sigilyph, Kangaskhan, Klefki, Comfey, etc., but they're uncommon and you can only get them in gifts.
I think the sinnoh tour will bring back Jessie and James becuz it mentions on the blog post about you teaming up with TGR
one idea id really like to see is the intro to bottle caps where you can change the ivs of pokemon you really like or want that one rare shiny that has terrible Iv’s to be pvp viable. Another feature that i think would spice up routes would be the introduction to apricorns that you can find or would be given by Mateo at the end

If they do Level 50-60 challenges, I hope they have options to choose from. For example; "complete 5 of the following 10 challenges" with variety between catching, evolving, battle, hatching, etc.
I hate it when they force me to play PVP in order to complete research or level up.
Add Raikou, Entei, and Suicune into the daily adventure incense, it only makes sense since they spawned in a rare random manner out in the wild in the original Gameboy games in gold and silver. To be honest I was really surprised that they weren't the into Pokémon for the daily adventure incense in general when it first came out, seemed like a missed opportunity.

Idea. There's a chance of a paldean form of suicune or virizion to spawn when you are doing route same chance as the galarian birds and the chance of run away will be the same in 2025 or 2024
The only problem with your breeding system idea is this if you breed with a shiny ditto the Pokémon is always shiny it would degrade the value of shiny Pokémon as a whole
All great ideas, but honestly I just want the abilities to mass potion / revive and the ability to long press a star piece or lucky egg, pop up a dialog box that asks "how many do you want to use?" And then click a plus or minus button to stack star pieces or lucky eggs. It's annoying that I need to go in, select a star piece, get booted back to the map, go back in, select another star piece, and repeat until I have the amount I want to run. This seems like a QOL no brainier to me.
I thought of this about 3 years ago when I was running out of space in my bag. What about a concept of Home Storage. You would "plant" a box someplace (most likely your home) and can off load items you are pretty sure you aren't going to need right away, anything from your bag really. Like right now I'm floating around 1K of Razz berries. Rather than have to delete these, let me put them in Home Storage so that should I run out at some point, when I go home, I can reload from there. Also, maybe make it that you can remotely deposit items into your Home Storage for a few pokecoins. If you pick up the Home Storage, it takes up a slot in your bag and you can't access it until you plant it again. Maybe not being able to uproot it for a month or pay a "fine" in pokecoins to do so. I think this would be helpful.
Honestly give players an amount of pokecoins for completing routes, or give field research to walk x amount of routes to get x amount of pokecoins, that would even solve the problem for rural players where they cant even get the 50 daily coins cause they dont get knocked out of gyms. They could even cap it so you can only get pokecoins for routes once per day, like the daily insence
I mean if the shiny galar birds had the same catch rate as the regular it would be pain
I think a kind of pokeball that you can gain automatically when you start following a route is old be fun, kind of like a daily incense
You missed two mate:
1) improve the IV’s - could be a limit of 1 a month or season and take 1000 candy and 100XL, make your 98’s into hundos
2) Mystic gets employed by Niantic 😂🎉
I'm 16 million XP away from 50, I really hope they don't raise it until I hit max level. I was only 90k XP from 40 when they bumped it to 50 😂
The thing with the Quick Ball is that it just has a higher catch rate when thrown on the first turn in a wild encounter, so it probably wouldnt do anything to speed up the animation. But i do still think its a necessary addition, along with Timer Balls and Dusk Balls
Dusk balls probably won't be added because Niantic doesn't want to encourage playing at night. Quick balls and timer balls should definitely be added.
@ankurbhattacharya5184 good point about Dusk balls, but maybe they can modify them in Go to where they just help catch Dark or Ghost types. Speaking of, how bout the possibly of Dive Balls, Net Balls, etc.? I think those ones could work in Go as well
One of the Routes near me is Borked, it says the pokestop it 30m away from where it actually is.
I would love to see wondering Gym leaders, meaning Gym Leaders from the Games sometimes become available to challange in the Gyms, imagen you click on a Gym only for it to tell you Brock challenges you.

The party mode does not need to be fixed. Clans will not help the team. We already have teams. We don’t need a team inside of a team.
I like the quick catch idea, being able to mass remove postcards would be nice, being able to turn off or skip cutscenes so you can turn off and trim a lot of spam associated with repetitive tasks

The issue with implementing wonder trade in go is that currently it is only one time trades, and wonder trading is fun if you can chain trade, send one to get one and if you don’t want it you send it on again, and replace it if you do want it. They would have to let us trade more than once per mon to be great
I think the reason they do that is so that a pokemon doesn't get traded 50 jazillion times and the person sees the person who first caught it and they're like "wtf who is that". But an easy solution to that is just say it was traded. No need to say who it's from, nobody cares about that anyway
Honestly, I just want to see more exciting text animation when you make a nice great or excellent throw like they did in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee.
I want raids to appear later in the day, i do not see why 10-11pm cannot be done.
Should really talk about the tediousness that comes with gifting. Sending and opening 40 gifts individually is excruciatingly monotonous and really shouldn’t take as long as it does with all these quality of life changes coming out.
Being able to stack remote raid passes would also be awesome
With the wonder trading i feel like people would not put any good pokemon in it anyways so they get something rare or op in return but yeah global/remote trades would be awesome just wanna see what I’m trading

when I was routing my speedruns in Violet i'd send off Myridon to wonder trade each run. I am sure I gave away like 50 of them.
As someone with two accounts,I love party play, it helps me take down those 5* bosses I just barely can’t beat with party power. Beat a darkrai by myself the other day I was happy about that
One of the features I know is coming is Pokemon Go exclusive shiny Pokemon. Hoopa in elite raids could eventually be shiny which would bring a lot of players to the game since Hoopa cannot be shiny in MSG, but can be sent to Home from Go.
2025, I could very easily see Victini, Meloetta, and Keldeo be shiny in the Unova tour which will be the very first time the shiny is legally released.
As far as breeding goes, keep in mind that babies, Legendaries, Unown, mythical Pokémon (except Manaphy and Phione), Nidorina, Nidoqueen, and costumed Pokemon cannot breed (Ash Hat Pikachu cannot breed in the core games).
Shadow raids need to be remote too at least the hard ones

I highly doubt theyll increase lvl cap and add egg breeding.
I would like to see a change in how you earn coins from holding gyms. You still get the 50 coins when you are knocked out, but you also earn 1-5 coins per day while you are in the gym. This can be limited to a total of 50 or 100 coins total, and also have a daily limit of some sort. This will give you extra incentive to take and hold gyms.

I think they should add a system where if your best friends with someone, you can do one remote raid with that person. This would allow more of an incentive to become best friends, and make more friends, allow people in inactive areas to have more people to do raids with, and soften the blow of the remote raid limit.
I agree with most of the new updates Mystic but not on level 60 increase, I'm only 8mill away from level 50 and i literally got to level 40 then just weeks later it increased to 50 plus the amount of xp and requirements needed i think level can't increase no more, remember you been playing since day 1 so you be at like level 58 now 😂
Same. When I got to 40, they increased it to lvl 50. Now I'm close to 50. Please, no lvl 60 yet, and let me enjoy my accomplishment.
60 is definitely coming. That's why they've been pumping us with xp since September. They want more people to engage with 50+ gameplay when it starts.
I wish they would revert the remote raids. It was a really aggressive move against players. Reverting the cost back to what it was and setting cap to 20 would be the best solution. I've talked to many people who see me playing Pokemon and they tell me that they use to play until the remote raid nerf hit.
I mean, I've never had problem with routes and thought they have been rather rewarding, gotten some rare items from them. If they get better then nice!
They should just bring back weekly 1 pokecoin remote raid passes. They could also bring back legendary research breakthrough encounters and give us the go tour roaming encounters as a rare encounter in daily incense which would currently be the legendary birds, beasts, latios, latias and soon the lake guardians. They should continue expanding that with each go tour, unova most likely being the swords of justice (excluding keldeo cuz its niantic) or the 3 unova genies, probably nothing in kalos honestly, ultra beasts or the tapus on alola tour, if they release gen 8 it would probably be the galar birds lmao or maybr glastrier and spectrier and on paldea tour it could most likely be the loyal three and possibly even ogerpon.
Oh I wish all of this would come true. But I dont think Level 51+ wont ever make it. I would see more of like there being more missions at level 50 that give off more stuff like the Level 50 challenge. If we saw Level 60 chances are we would also have to see Pokemon reach level 60 which would change the game and metarelavency of GL and UL and maybe even the Masters entirely and would make it too easy for these higher level players in things like raids and Masters League PvP.
I would love to see a way to pick eggs to be put on the free incubator while using adventure sync if I'm hiking a long trail and if I'm lucky enough to have a internet I can try to guess when the egg is going to hatch and then open the app add another egg then close it down again it would be nice if you could even just pick the next 1 egg to go on the free incubator
The quick ball should just keep its effects from the mainline games which is a 5x multiplier on the 1st throw
For 2024 I predict we will get dreepy evo family for Halloween and we will get iron bundle for Christmas
Lower remote raid costs, add remote trades… and get rid of the battle requirement to reach 50…. I basically stopped leveling because I am not the Pokémon battle type… or at least give us an alternate way to get there. Egg hatching sucks in general..
Instead of wonder trade I would add a looking for trade feature which all of your friends could see and trade
Still going to say they need to implement a Radar Filter.
Like if your shiny hunting a specific pokemon. You can type in your Radar, the pokemon's name. And it will only show you what pokestops that specific pokemon is near.
It doesn't boost the odds of the pokemon but it makes it easier for people to hunt them.

The only issues i see coming from wonder trades, is illegitimate shinies being sent across it. it would be extremely disappointing for a no spoof player to receive a spoofed pokemon.
Remote raid limits being removed will be really helpful for me, as there is barely anyone who plays Pokémon go around my area

I hope that they do ease some of those friction points that you mentioned.
I honestly hope they bring back 2 "features" that have been AWOL for a while: EX Raids & Back Arrow Quick Catch.
For a while, I thought Elite raids had replaced EX Raids, but no. Besides the desire for more shots at legendary/mythical mons, that wasn't the best feature. If you sent someone a pass to the EX Raid, that counted as that says interaction. Meaning you no longer had to wait for someone to send you a gift or open that last gift before going best buddies. You can send them an EX Raid invite and drag them over the finish line.
Back in the summer of maybe 2018, for one software release cycle, you could use the Android back navigation arrow to perform the quick catch without have to do the berry slide and tap bit.
And finally, I was on team Level 60, but my opinion has altered slightly. Based on their current LOVE of time hating and drip feeding, I suspect instead of one drop to level 60, we'll get like, a new level every 6 months.
And burn that hoodie.
With the level increase, I also expect XP inflation like what happened last time, and a new badge level above platinum.
Love the optimism but Niantic has monetized everything so I highly doubt that they’ll reduce the costs of remote raid passes or pretty much anything

Actually you're already on point with the legendaries I use my blue incense while doing a route and I got a galarian Moltres

I wish PGo would update the online icon to make it easier to see if people online are available to remote raid. Having to guess who online is able to remote into your raid is ridiculous.

I started playing in July 2023 so I am oblivious to the old unlimited raids. The thing that has bothered me the most about Niantic is how they shiny lock most newly released pokemon. I think it is a sleazeball business tactic. Think of some other way to create player engagement other than wasting our time with 2 separate hunts. It takes the wind out of my sails when new pokemon are released without their shiny. The Paldea event was a great example. I found it painful to play knowing I did not have a chance at a shiny.
Quick ball has a higher chance when you use it first turn and lowers catch rate as you throw
I didn't play most of 2023, but picked it back up for the December CD Weekend.
The "Ready Up" button was a fantastic feature. Was able to power through Wydeer raids last weekend with it, and that was super cool. Kudos to Niantic for that.
My wishlist at this point, in addition to un-nerfing the Remote Raids, has got to be with hatching eggs
Egg Pool Shakeup - the egg pools right now are pretty awful, and I neither need nor want what is in most of them, save the Paldean Starters I missed out on earlier in the year. I don't need any more of anything out of the 12km eggs except Salandit, and even then, I need females so I can finally have Salazzle.
Egg Discard - If I don't want a ton of 2km eggs, let me trash them. I don't mind spending money on incubators, but I hate being forced to hatch low-distance eggs for, as mentioned above, Pokémon I don't even want.
If they fixed these things, I know I'd be a lot happier, and more willing to plunk down cash for those Poké Coins.
