Sorry I vanished for about 2 weeks! Today marks the start of a new era of Red Archer Live - and I'm really excited about it. Thank you all for the love this year, it means the world x
Have the vid saved archer i love these kinds of vids so should be good to see how you tackle it. Sorry if ive been difficult im just going through a lot mentally but i do care bud happy 2025🎉
Personally, I play very little amount of games. I mostly stick with what I enjoyed in past year or just coming back. This year, however, I picked up HITMAN World Of Assassination in early June after a video from MrBullseye747 (who also happens to be a Payday youtuber) and got HOOKED up. This game instantly became my favorite and as of today, I've already spent almost 250 hours playing it (rookie numbers, I know. It's just that I don't play on PC very often). This isn't a 2024 release (it got launched in early 2021 as HITMAN III before getting rebranded to WoA two years later) and I know it. This also got me to learn some things about IO Interactive, the creators behind the Hitman franchise, mostly how they came to be the IOI we know today. From purchase by Eidos Interactive to disaster that was Hitman Absolution and then saving the situation to their cut of funds from Square Enix and IOI becoming independent, up till now. At this point, I am of the belief, that if Payday IP was to be given to another game studio, IOI could manage it, even if that meant multiple changes to how Payday 3 functions (like game engine for example). I've seen you play it once this year, when you got The Disruptor Pack to try out. Well, they removed all the Conor McGregor content from the game in late November, so now it's impossible to purchase. Just thought I should let you know.
you should really check HD2 soon. they added a new faction, vehicles and a ton of new weapons and stratagems. also you cant actually go on super earth its a new biome
I didn't play a lot of games this year, but easily my GOTY was the Silent Hill 2 Remake I also just recently picked up Balatro cause I've heard a lot of great things about it, and _my god_ it is addicting lol Happy New Year!
Top 5 Favorites: (Not in order) 1. Deus Ex (2000) Absolutely gripping and interesting story, many player choices, playstyle variety, nice locations, almost a completely perfect game. I recommend picking it up (goes down to 1 euro on sale), although I don't think it would be good content, given the age of the game. 2. Helldivers 2 (2024) I think the same as you do. Simply a wonderful experience, especially with friends. I enlisted when we battled for the Creek, although I went for MOs instead. 3. Wreckfest (2017) A very fun racing game, where the only rule is to stay on the track. Wreck anyone, force them off the track, spin them out... 4. Mount and Blade: Warband (2010) A medieval sandbox-RPG, where you are thrown into Calradia in the 1250s. Calradia is a big area, ruled by multiple factions. You can lead armies into battle, be a raider or a trader, you can even try to conquer the entire map! Definitely worth a try. 5. Doom Eternal (2020) I've played this since May 2020, but it just gets better with age. An incredible and creatively engaging combat system awaits you, and now with mod support, excellent community-made maps can be played.
For this year my favorites have easily been persona 3 reload, Balatro, and Shadow generations P3R is probably my favorite game ever made, great music, incredible characters, and a plot that had me weeping till the credits finished rolling. For me it was one of those games I wish wouldn’t end (except for the hot springs scene but that goes for every modern persona game). Balatro is just really damn fun. I managed to crank 40 hours out of it in a week and have still been playing it daily for like 2-3 hours a day. Shadow gens I feel much the same about as you did with it, while I like some of the 2d acts and thought the challenges were decent distractions from the main game, they really felt like padding for the short run time. I still loved it till the end and have been coming back to it a lot to cut down on my personal bests. Really hoping we get more dlc than just the movie one we got. Also the game probably has one of my favorite sonic stories second only to Black Knight
I mean my favourite game of all time came out this year, so... Persona 3 Reload is an absolutely incredible game and is one of the only 4 or 5 games to make me weep like a baby. X-Defiant came and went like a fart in the wind.
This year has been pretty good for thinning out my back log I think the 2 biggest highlights for me was Ghost of Tsushima - that game was honestly top tier and amazing, if you haven’t played it I highly suggest it Until Dawn - probably the best. Interactive horror game I’ve ever played, the story is amazing, characters are amazing and the twists are wow
Definitely recommend elden ring, even if you're not a fan of soulslikes. It's by far the most accessible one, so if you can't get into elden ring, you probably can't get into any of them 💙
I dont blame the story writers for zombies as they are probaly way more angry as they wont be able to put any of human feeling anymore in the story they want to play

God I love typing miniature essays in the UA-cam comment section

I actually tried X-Defiant and absolutely forgot to mention it here... which kinda says it all I guess

Until Dawn - probably the best. Interactive horror game I’ve ever played, the story is amazing, characters are amazing and the twists are wow
My two favourite games of 2024 are Helldivers II and Astro Bot. I just couldn’t pick one
You not playing Astro Bot is the biggest sin of 2023
If you like helldivers 2 play lost planet 2
Definitely recommend elden ring, even if you're not a fan of soulslikes. It's by far the most accessible one, so if you can't get into elden ring, you probably can't get into any of them 💙
Duly noted!
Astro bot 💙 🍷🗿💪
I dont blame the story writers for zombies as they are probaly way more angry as they wont be able to put any of human feeling anymore in the story they want to play
The games of 2024 I played the most are payday 3 and Suicide squad because I just like games where I can shoot around npc with some good fast gameplay
boys in blue was the peak of payday 3 :(
We've all been feeling blue since
