Thank you so much for this fascinating interview. I would be more than grateful if you could continue conversation about topic that are mentioned at the very end of interview. People that can talk about spirituality and language learning are extremely rare and Professor Arguelles has so much of value to share with us. It is a real gem and it touches hearts and souls of many of us who share similar interests.

Oh, I like these videos so much. I was recently thinking if I maybe want to start with arabic after I am now dabbling into a tiny bit of Urdu for a while and Arabic and Persian would be quite helpful in addition. But when I hear it is so hard and because I already do too many different things ... but I will never run into the script problem professor Arguelles mentions because I normally study the script for more than one year before I start with a single word of that language. arabic script and devanagari script are already almost automatic for me, slower than latin, but without much conscious effort. I avoid textbooks with latin script transcriptions. I put tape over or cross it out until I am fluent in the script

Could you please ask him how he would suggest a poly litterate person how to organize his or her reading in your next interview? For example, does he suggest finishing one book in one language or is it better to juggle four books in four different languages on a weekly basis?

"The same traumatic experiences that any refugee would have"? Well you did have to find homes for your two cats from Korea before flying your family to your parents' home in California (Berkeley, where your dad works for the University and where you went to high school) until getting your own place and starting a university job within a week at the New School in SF. Poor dear. You should write a book about it.
