    Hi Jonathon, good thoughtful build process, I fly competition pattern and I have recently built this as my current plane, did so pretty much exactly the same way as you did, (only real difference was I glued the carbon tube into one of the tailplane halves so only one screw in the opposite half), plane flies great so I'm confident in the methodology used, a quick tip though is although the fit of the tailplane to the fuselage side is exceptionally good you can make the line vanish completely by applying a little white mastic from a syringe with a blunt needle.

      Awesome! Great to hear! glueing the one side in makes total sense! Thanks for the suggestions and tips! Always learning

    Hi Jon, you may consider to double loop the wire through the sleeve. From experience, a single loop will not hold the tension permanently. Also, the wire is cut right at the sleeve, so in case it gets loose, it will slip out of the sleeve. Regards from Germany, Sven

    The mirror finish and straight line reflections put this in a league of its own, wow!

    Hi Jon beautiful work as always but it seems you are even more accurate than on the jets. I think it will be an extremely precise plane 👍! David from Belgium.

      @@thelightersideofrc I really like your channel, very interesting, calm and relaxing to watch. Sad not to have met you last year in Germany so close to me... Are you thinking of going there this year ? David.

    Interesting Beastie. Yeah I burn in my Servo,s to on the ole GWS servo tester have had 3 fail so far 2 slowed right down and 1 just stopped working so well worth doing. 😮😅 Just doing a 3D Buster Foamy at the Mo which is biplane this has given me some idea,s.😅😂 Especially the set up in Radio pretty much same control systems. Keep at it. Waiting for F-15.😅😂❤

    Hi there, Have you heard of FTL Innovations Jets, more specifically their 1/7 Scale Composite F16 with their own turbine that has a built-in fuel pump? Would be a nice project for you to look at and check the quality and characteristics. Cheers

      @thelightersideofrc  2 дні тому +2

      Yes for sure! The ATOM we just completed comes from Boomerang Jets in NA But is manufactured by FTL innovations. Possibly we will have an F-16 from them in the future!

    Isn't there a risk of the cable cutting into the skin of the aircraft for the rudders? Many, many moons ago I used some "plastic" flexible push rods (they may have been from Robart, I don't recall) that gave plenty of force even over a 3 foot plus run. They were a hollow tube you could actually glue in place with a solid 6 spline rod that ran through it.

      Everything is very accurately lined up. So at the back of the aircraft it goes through a former and makes no contact with the former. Goes through the skin and the slot is perfectly aligned.

    Can you Please make the Channel membership cheaper? I would love to see the Videos more early but I don´t want to pay the same price as Netflix would be that is just to expensive in my Opinion
