as someone who used to play minecraft 1.8 pvp on a trackpad the thing i used and it kinda worked better is to use the thumb on the left click and let the index finger do the moving instead of doing it with the middle one, anyways, interesting video!
As someone with over 6000 hours of TF2 EXCLUSIVELY on a touchpad ( first on laptops, then on desktop using the Perixx Peripad 504 ), it's alway funny for me to see people struggle with my go-to aiming tool. However, it's absolutely not ideal to play with it on the far right side. If it was UNDER THE SPACEBAR, even i could have bought it, especially since the keys are flat. A touchpad works best paired with movement bound to arrow keys ( right hand ) while your left hand does main actions ( shoot, jump ) on Z X C, while your left thumb aims on the touchpad. Not to mention that usually, touchpad DPI's considerably lower than mice so you'll have to rocket up your sensitivity ( even on my Perixx i need 9.00 in TF2! ). Because i'm that dedicated ( always disliked how confusing wasd was, and i didn't grow up with that ), i 3D modelled and got printed a board that accomodates my keyboard, touchpad and tablet all at the same height to rest the wrist, for the most comfortable experience. Touchpad gaming is good, but only when you set it up properly and forsake nearly all of Tresh's Quake layout everyone's been using for almost 30 years now. And now i'm waiting for the Peripad 706 to restock to test it and possibly make a new board ( it has a middle mouse button now! )
if you want real TF2 keyboard... buy one from the intro... with mouse... also you know how it feels be playing TF2 in laptop... due the mouse having to use it with the finger
His trackpad technique is shocking, he did not use his thumb, his pinky, like wtf, you gotta use your whole hand with every finger having a task, clear Trackpad newbie, after like, 2 years, you become comparable to mouse gamers, I was even better than some mouse user "humans"
@ShorK It's called VorpX it isn't free that I remember (at least when I used it), but it's not super expensive either. Takes a bit of set up but with all the weird Vr commands in TF2 it can actually work
There is also a MEGA expensive laptop from razer with this exact keyboard / trackpad / macro button built in. It used to be my wildest dream to own that laptop once but it was like 3000 euros back in the days and nowadays the hardware is ultra outdated xd
