I could learn more about this process if the video had an audio explanation as the drawing was developed, the result is beautiful even minus the explanation.
Amazing! I can never understand how to shadow the clouds, should the be bright behind a backdrop of dark (sky) or should they form with shadows as their outlines!? Confuses :(
How did you get such a rich dark color in the background?
Use lots of layers and 6B pencils. You can't really do it with just one pass, and you need to alternate the angle of the cross hatching to get better coverage. Unfortunately it takes time and isn't very exciting. Be prepared for lots of dust.
