The best way to improve on genji is pretty much to feed hard and keep limit testing until you feel comfortable with choosing the right engagements. The worst plays are the ones where you don't commit on genji
just discovered metro a few days ago and binge watched a bunch of his content, the editing and commentary is hilarious and just amazing. haven't played overwatch for too long and his advice really helps
I can say as a plat genji main, that most bastions around plat start to avoid shooting deflecting genjis, which is lowkey the big reason the gold genji is gold. He also just plays way too aggressive all the time 😂... In plat, teams also insta-annihilate over-aggression like that
@@fulltimestuntman2.0 that can happen in almost any rank tbh, since there's always the possibility of the Genji deflecting a few frames before they get shot
@@fulltimestuntman2.0 That happens often even at top ranks. Aggressive widows get used to insta-clicking open heads near corners; meaning at least once a quick peak with genji will score you a kill with decent aim.
(Self Felatio incoming) I resonate super hard with the idea that mechanical aim is not super important until you climb fairly high. I'm triple masters in role que and the second genji aims a lot better than i do. I feel a lot of people severely underestimate how important counter picking, positioning, and not dying are to winning in ow. Being flexible enough to pick characters that can complement your team while being capable of performing that niche you're filling will win you games even if you aren't going 50 and 5 every match.
I always say I wish the game was more punishing to lack of game knowledge. It's really easy to get to a decent rank with only mechanical skill and NO knowledge, just play a lot. It causes a lot of players a lot of frustration because they feel like "Hey, I'm plat, I probably know what I'm doing" when they actually haven't learned BASIC positioning, fight strategy, counter-picks, etc...
@@marioprodan4993 I think it's interesting how some folks seem to think the game has only one aspect. IMO game knowledge comes first, then mechanics, despite some people thinking mechanics is all there is.
I've played with the two types of genjis listed. In my causal opinion, I rather have the wannabe sniper genji than the wannabe tank. The wannabe tank drives me nuts. Even with my peanut brain I can see their own deaths before it happens and they are usually the most toxic in ALL THE CHATS.
good advices! i think one of the reasons why he committed to the pharah is when playing in low elos no one shots the pharah they let her dominate the team, better play was to change into a hitscan dps considiring the pharah doesn't have a mercy pocket
Sniper Genji with awful aim here I think I just have confidence issues with my awful aim a lot of the time which is why I don't try those dash right clicks, thanks for the advice, and the review. (P.S OW2 is my first shooter on my new PC)
Game 1: Both tank and genji are at fault, at the end of the match they got Genji and a Dva fighting vs Zarya, Mei and Moira. Which are hard counters, so enemy team had a better counter game, thus deserving to win.
@@silasnebulous4533 I play soldier because I'm the dps who sits patiently on height until it's time to shoot, most drop the second there's no one in los

11:03 great explanation of their flawed system. 5-2 should always resort to rank up, diamond and masters are top percentages where most were inflated there
I guess if people focus on what they could have done better to carry the game instead of expecting to have better teammates, the game suddenly becomes less tilting and more enjoyable, lol! For example, especially the games I lose with a small margin (despite having bad teammates) shows me very clearly what I could do better to gain an edge, such as I could have died 1 less time instead of going greedy for a risky or saving a cooldown or not respecting enemy hitscan's ability to land that one headshot etc..
Metro just curious, how do I submit a vod review? Looking to go from plat to diamond on Ana, gonna be grinding this weekend so just curious as to what the process looks like. Great vid and much love 💕
Yo Metro, I’m a Plat 5 (Peaked Plat 2 few days ago) Reaper. Upon watching playback I’ve noticed a ton of flaws in my play such as bad wraiths or just general patience and desperation plays especially when in a losing position particularly in the last fight where I could’ve waited. I also have a habit of constantly shooting Rein shield due to mentally developed habit on reaper. I’m duoed with the Ashe who isn’t necessarily as good as I am but I’m aware that isn’t a large factor necessarily. I think I deserve High Plat or Low Diamond. I would love to know your thoughts, obviously feel free to roast me I’m just trying to get better and tips would be appreciated. Code: KF89WG I am Snowbunnies.
I play a lot of reaper in masters so I can chime in with a couple quick tips for reaper. 1.) Teleport is a great for getting in and occasionally clutch for getting out. A lot of maps offer bizarre angles for teleport where even if the enemy team sees you begin to use it, it can be hard to see where you end up. This is usually doorways, stairs, or high ground platforms. All that said, the best reaper teleports are the completely unnoticeable ones. Embrace the sneaky. 2.) There is a certain level of aggression that separates high and low rank reapers. Due to his self heal on hit; getting right into the middle of a fight and focusing the tank momentarily can keep you up until a squishy wanders too close and you're able to switch focus to them. 3.) Your ult sucks ass. Use it to confirm easy kills on 1 or 2 out of position players on a flank. Even in a grav scenario, your ult is likely to be canceled or countered immediately.
im tired of people talking about elo hell, how about elo heavin? in season 2 my tank was silver, in seas 3 it ended in masters... i refuse to believe my tank rank improved that quickly despite the fact i main support lmao

Maybe cuz he’s known as a washed up asshole by anyone who’s playing with him
