Honestly, this guy felt like the most promising player for their rank in this series. He definitely has the right mindset for climbing out of gold with reaper - flank, find an agressive position, time your engage, and punish bad positioning. If he just irons out his awareness and consistancy, just enough not to have anymore of those "silly" moments where he gets pinned by rein while soaking in his good play mentally, or going for the two tap on an ulting bastion (which doesn't actually work due to 20% dmg reduction) instead of waiting for his ult to end, he will be able to achieve his goal of plat 5. It is always funny where the person with the smallest ego, in this case a junp from gold 5 to merely plat 5, plays much better. Good luck to this player!
I'm in the same boat currently but Silver 2 and believing for the most part I should be mid Gold like my support is. My aim on hitscan is just too inconsistent, I can dink heads with Mei and track my butt off with Tracer/Soldier. But man my Ashe/Widow is either I'm Aimbottz or I look like I should be back in Bronze 5 lol

I peaked low Masters on Console in OW1 and highest I've gotten in OW2 is Plat 2 on Support. Habit I'm trying to break is AD strafing while aiming when I don't need to or over compensating.
@@Gobbygoblin doesn't help that in OW1 I played mainly less aim intensive heroes minus Ana on support. Mainly Dva OTP on Tanl, Mei on DPS and then Ana/Moira for support. At first it was simply getting used to how faster the game was in the lower ranks. Now it's just getting my mechanics to be consistent, which is why I spend a good amount of time in VAXTA and custom games to warm up. Which is hbelped me realize tracking heroes are much easier for me than hitscan 🤣🤣. but also why I spend more time with hitscan in VAXTA lol.
a part of being good is to not always play the character... you have to find off angles to punish the supports first and when you see a good widow or cass you have 2 options 1 : change character. 2: flank them but be aware the cassidy can survive because of the reduced damage while rolling and his aim bot sticky bomb
@@yee5012 Genji provides value in that situation by ass fucking their comp and allowing your team to capitalize on that. But yeah, more often than not a genji should switch since any genji that plays into that is a masochist
One thing I notice about low rank cass players is that they are always moving and trying to not be hit. It makes it impossible for their aim to be consistent. The guy has highground, he's looking down at three people who dont notice him, the mercy is already low and he knows because he tagged her. Sit the fuck still for half a second and just hit the one shot you need to kill her. After you get the kill if you take some damage then you can just roll back and away from the enemy los. They have no widow or hanzo so your risk of instant death is extremely low. Sometimes all it takes is to stand still for a single shot to completely change the course of a fight.
Stop focusing on that and worry more about getting the most value out of your hero, you can finish a game with a high accuracy stat and still lose because you were making other mistakes related to game sense.

second reaper i have a tip : WHY DID YOU FOLLOW HIM you missed the shots on a hanzo and he ran away alive what would he do ? most likely will climb back to you so just wait for him if he didn't then run because he threw a sonic arrow at your location
So for the first guy this just shows the matchmaking now is more accurate than in OW1. Prop he won many games before cause his team hard lift him all the time.

I've thought about having you look at my gameplay, but I'm ashamed to say I don't play comp much, but I have probably 3000 hours of role que quickplay under my belt. I know its not the same thing most of the time. But I always get overly nervous and worried that I'll make to many mistakes in comp, and I'm a sombra main, and people hate her as it is much less if I make a mistake. But for some reason my QP games I've gone up against every rank up to GM. ( I greatly appreciate the experience this brings for me even if I can't compete against them) Lately seems to be plats and diamonds in my game. To be honest, I don't feel I deserve a higher rank than I've always been. I've pretty much been a gold player since OW1. I will admit the games against the master and GM's my effectiveness is greatly reduced both mechanically and mentally. I seem to be hit or miss against Plats and Diamonds. And as a Sombra main, I literally can never blame my team for a loss, because I'm playing Sombra, and she's one of the hardest characters to climb with in the game from my experience. One of the most frustrating things for me playing Sombra, is playing with and against the higher ranked people even in QP, the only 3 tanks everyone plays is Doomfist, JQ, and Ramatra, and as far as chemistry goes, Doomfist is the easiest to play with as a Sombra main. I get so mad at JQ tanks because I can't figure out a way to mesh well with them or against them she's insanely hard to kill. It seems there's never any middle ground with them. And people don't switch despite how ineffective they are with JQ. Much less how it is affecting the teams ability to assist in a fight. Ramatra picks are usually against tanks where another tank pick would be a lot more advantageous in my opinion but then again I'm probably just bias because I play Sombra. But, I do have about 800 hours as a Rein, and Hog though. And lol for the life of me I literally cannot figure out how to play DVA effectively. I seem to be ok with Zarya, not great, and I think 1/2 of that is because aiming with her is not much different than Sombra, except she does more damage for a hit than sombra does. Well maybe not more damage but Zarya's aim is a lot more forgiving.

What is a good accuracy percentage? I get like 25 to 35% usually (Xbox) but I feel I just get out aimed all the time even when flanking (with anyone)

I think the biggest problem he has is the 90 fov. As a console player I can confirm that THIS sucks.
