This is how I maintain and color my hair. I had my hair professionally colored as I had boxed dyed it black and for it to lift evenly I knew I needed to go to a professional. I am not a professional but ever since, I have been maintaining my color myself in such an affordable way thanks to Revlon Colorsilk. I used the number 45 Bright Auburn and typically just touch up the roots every two weeks. How do you like the color?

I would do a strand test. My natural hair is pretty dark and it lifts it but again that’s only if it’s virgin hair 🧡

Does this damage your hair and does red always come out in the shower?
I think any box dye will slight damage your hair, but mine is still pretty healthy 💛 and it washes out maybe the first two washes but not much after that
