Fantastic review! That transmitter looks like the transmitter for my Phantom 3 advanced, including the buttons on the back. Too bad it doesn't have a place for a plugin module like the 4in1, but for the price, it's outstanding. Thanks for taking the time to go over the whole setup!

Thanks. I want to make a remote controlled puppet and have a plethora of channels to work with. This seems to be the one .
Basically a puppet riding a tricycle so I want tricycle control and puppet control
- Tricycle throttle
- Tricycle steering
- puppet eyes left/right
- puppet eyes up/down (upgrade)
- puppet LED eyes on/off (upgrade)
- camera eyes on/off (upgrade)
- puppet neck left/right
- puppet neck up/down. (upgrade)

what is the difference between radio failsafe and what we set on the flight controller as failsafe?
Fs i6s supports s-bus, i-bus, ppm, pwm, c-ppm or not?
Because i want to buy pixhawk flight controller & it works on c-ppm and s bus...
Thanks for your review. However, one thing I find missing from almost all reviews, is compatibility. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this receiver works on the inverted signal, so is not compatible with none inverted FC. I bought a couple of F3 and F4 FC, only to find them not compatible with my receivers, so now I have ordered this one. Hope future reviews will take this into account.

I have a i6s 10ch TX but the receiver is 6ch. I want to use a retractable landing gear and 2Axis Gimbal in my quad, should i do all these controls with 6ch receiver or should i upgrade my Rx with 10ch?

Trim without physical switches is very hard to adjust while one need to keep the Quad flying steady.
Looks like the FS-i6S only support AFHDS 2A and is not compatible with the older AFHDS, correct?

Yes, you will have to land it and trim it and see if it is level. Imagine fixed wings :0
Yes, this transmitter does not have a switch for afhds and is fixed on afhds2a.

I finished building my first racing drone. I took it out for a test flight an spun in the air like a top. I switch the blades around and then it just flipped over any ideas on what im doing wrong
you either need to check all of your props and make sure they are in the correct way and you need to check to see if your flight controller has the correct board alignment.
really like your reviews, always very informative! I'd like to make the step up from toy to hobby grade quadcopters, but I'm a bit intimidated it seems to be a very steep learning curve ? all the terms, abreviations software, hardware ? did you just jump in & learn while you go? hope you don't mind the question? have a good weekend!

I have also just recently jumped into hobby grade quads from the toy grade rtf to the hobby grade bnf, pnp and arf quads and it does have a learning curve but it is far more rewarding :)

I recently purchased the lanchi bluebired 80mm(brushed) that you reviewed (great review btw). Im curious to kno if it will bind to the Flysky I6S. I kno it binds to the 6 and 6X. But the I6S does not have backward compatibility to still bind with AFHDS. Im aware that the bluebird is AFHDS 2A and that it should bind with no issues. Ive just been seeing issues on line as of late and was curious if you had any info or have already tried it. Thx as always...

Great info. New to all this. Can I connect to Mac and use simulators so that I can start by practicing without damaging quad or persons?
I'm sure you can. there are lots of videos on youtube showing how.
This would be a great radio if it had proper trims. You want to dynamically trim while you're flying an airplane and that is not possible so it is a useless radio for planes
I have the FS-i6X and the FS-T6 and like them so much I sold my brand new Taranis to my mate.
lots of differerent Recievers from 3chan ones I use in my cars to the bigger ones I use in quads and they sold everywhere
and are real cheap and the transmitters have all the features I need plus they are cheap too, i'm not worried about putting
a FlySky transmitter on the ground or scratching it but i had to be so careful with my Taranis it had me worried all the time.
So I love FlySky and I know my way around the menus well so might have a look at this new one.
I might have missed it but is this compatible with both AFHDS and AFHDS 2A ?
I do not nave any afhds receivers to test but the product is only afhds 2a and there is not a switch like the fs i6 transmitter.
Ahh okay thank you that is good to know, I just watched your video of the king kong tiny 7 and bought one thinking i could use it with my FS-T6 then realised the RX in the tiny is 2A and my FS-T6 is 2 only, so I'm really glad I have the i6X :D

These are flysky protocol and does not have the frsky protocol built into them.

yeah on GB but look around, maybe banggood has it for less. btw GB has the older FS I6 on sale i saw for $34. because FlySky rather you get the S or Xb now.

No trim on the fly- No DEAL! crash... or be so good at first maden settings that you correct after land! You cant set perfect trims on like wings flyer.. need your sliders trims:>(.. its a no deal for me! Kiss- keep it simple stupid! ..Trims please.
This video is not informative for a beginner. Voltages, timers for what? Take it out of the box to fly a quadcopter. This is what you do AND WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! assigning switched WTF what are you talking about> Modes- for what? How about I drive over this with my car?
