I saw them at the other Alberta show and agree that Halestorm was surprisingly good. But The Warning were rocking that night. As good as they are as an opening act, I'm so glad I flew out to Toronto for the headline show. Almost the same price for the two concerts (Floor seats at an Evanescence gig vs discount airline, cheap B&B, Warning tickets). But DPA doing a full setlist and getting to rock out for over an hour was truly an experience. Well worth the 2 days to fly out and see them.
For me, they are the shit, so I don't care what that guy said. He was wrong about a few things he said and he's making UA-cam videos while these girls are melting faces around the world. They are not a Metal band, they are a hard rock band who are classically trained pianists and write all their songs and play their instruments while singing. They have released 4 albums and one EP and the youngest of these 3 sisters just turned 20 yrs old. They have performed at the EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS 2024, the MTV VMAS 2023 and various music festivals like WACKEN. They were nominated for an MTV VMA as well as a LATIN GRAMMY AWARD 2024 where they also performed. The drummer, Paulina, won DRUMEO'S ROCK DRUMMER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2023 as well as nominated for Modern Drummer's Up and Coming Drummer Award. They have worked hard for this since they were kids and have earned everything that has come their way. So what more do you want?
The day Andy can write a song that even half measures up to dull knives is the day that he'll have anything honest contribute. Seriously name me one song by the guy that you've ever heard of.

I have no problem with anyone who just doesn’t like The Warning. No harm, no foul. I have a bigger problem with reflexive haters who think they only get noticed because they’re pretty women. But Edwards reasoning goes a step further. It was intellectually lazy and based on incomplete and/or false information. Thus seriously undermining his points. He’s also an aberration. Generally, the professional musicians / semi-pros love the girls, if not outright adore them. Songwriters & composers in particular point out the clever construction of the "simple complexity" and use of dynamics. There’s a lot going on under the hood and real musicians pick up on that and appreciate it a lot.
I have yet to see a professional musician that had anything bad to say about TW including all the greats they have opened for or had interactions with. They're just solid rock and rollers that are opening the ears to new listeners and awakening the spirit of R&R to those that have given up on the genre for several decades now.

In find it terrible that he’s trying to diminish this band into “they are famous cuz they are pretty, they went viral cuz Metallica guitarist did it for them, they sound like old rock groups with nothing new added.” All of which is incredibly oversimplified and essentially false. They are great despite their looks, they went viral because they were awesome all by themselves, they write keep releasing albums that drive away their older fans because they are moving with the times and creating music that mixed old and new genres. And for reference, I’m a professional musician, classical, rock, jazz, metal, funk, etc. Yet i find the warning to be fascinating musically

She prefers backing vocals, and this performance is one of the few pro shot videos where she does lead. She has sung full songs lead, but only when Dany isn't feeling well, only fan cam footage of that is available though. Next for The Warning? Suggest "Evolve" , live from 2023 mtv video music awards, or here at Pepsi Center 2023.
Just in this performance alone, there are about 8000 people who disagree with whatever his name is. So do the thousands of people at their other, sold out, shows, and the rest of TWA. Dany, Pau, and Ale have worked their behinds off from when they were kids to get where they are today. To say they aren't good at what they do would be like saying the brazilian national football team don't know how to play football (I won't say soccer, you can't make me). Sure, they don't always win, but noone, even if you're not brazilian, can deny that they are a really good team. People are allowed to have their own opinions, of course, but sometimes I get the feeling some reactors and musicians criticize bands and artists because they don't want to be accused of liking everything, what they see as being fake. Or maybe it's just jealousy. Oh well, whatever, I don't think DPA are losing any sleep over him not liking them, they have fans all over the world who love them for being the lovely, talented, and hard working people they are. And we, their fans, shouldn't lose any sleep over it either.

He is just a professional troll that knows he can get views and comments by being controversial if not down right derogatory towards the objects of his videos. He has obviously not been as successful in his drumming career as he probably thinks he deserves, so I think jealousy plays a big part in his criticism of The Warning and TWA. To paraphrase Alejandra of TW, if the music is good, and you like it, that’s all that matters. 😎👍
Andy Edwards is full toxic to The Warning fans. That said, if you like what they do, they do it better than anyone I have ever seen. I have attended concerts since the early 70s. I have seen much larger productions in much larger places, and theirs was the best performance of all.
It's ok for people to like or dislike a band, we all have different tastes. It seems like this Edwards guy's main purpose was to provoke The Warning fans with unfounded and uninformed criticism, just to stir up controversy and get more views on his channel.
I feel any reactor is allowed their opinion/thoughts towards any band. If you don't like them, so be it. It's why we have such diverse styles of music.... Because not everyone likes all music equally. Anyway... Great reaction, thanks!
Nice catch. I saw them live in a small community college in the early 70s, in the days of oil on an opaque projector for a light show. InaGadaDaVita was the first rock song I learned on a Farfisa organ too along with "Light my Fire" by the doors...:)
I thought the same thing when in my youth in the mid-70s I heard Queen and Pink Floy for the first time. These guys are like the Eagles but more boring.
