Forest were ALWAYS in control in this game, even when Tottenham had the ball (and they'll think that means they dominated), Forest stopped them from creating anything meaningful. The best Tottenham could muster were a few half chances.
I am one of the Korean Tottenham fans, and it was very disappointing. Even as someone who doesn’t know much about football, I noticed their teamwork wasn’t good, and they didn’t pass the ball to Son very often. I also noticed that Udogie kept pushing up to the winger position, and every time that happened, Son Heung-min moved into the centre or their positions overlapped if Son stayed on the left. It felt like watching Conte’s tactics all over again (with Perisic and Son Heung-min). Up until now, Tottenham has relied on Son Heung-min or Harry Kane to score and win games, but since Ange took over as manager, it seems like he’s trying to reduce reliance on Son-whether it’s his influence, scoring, or otherwise-and balance things out with other players. I’m not sure if I’m right or wrong, but as someone who has been watching Tottenham ever since Son joined, it feels like the team has always focused on one or two forwards to score goals. Since Ange came in, though, that “Tottenham style” seems to have disappeared, and the goals now seem to be more evenly distributed among the players. It’s just… kind of sad to watch.
He’s driving the players like herded sheep with just one stupid tactic, overworking them to the limit. Look at how the main players are dropping out injured. Normally, you’d correct your mistakes-that’s common sense-but his stubbornness is causing all these problems. It’s like building a house without doors and then worrying about thieves. No matter how many players there are, they’ll all burn out under Ange’s management.
