A fantastic flight today with Jet2.com. We departed around 15 minutes late, leaving the beautiful Palma De Mallorca airport, with a straight out, turbulent departure, taking a left hand turn heading over the islands mountains, overhead Barcelona, and the West of France. Crossing the English Channel the Captain gives us an announcement regarding weather conditions in Manchester. I don't quite think, he, the first officer or any of the passengers expected the approach and landing that we had. Turning onto base and final approach, we notice that there is zero visibility unitl about 800ft. Emerging from the cloud, it gets gusty, and at about 50 feet we have a heavy gust hit us from the West pushing the wing up. It was a spectacularly handled landing by the captain, and as I spoke to him at the end of the flight, he told me how close they were to going around.

I did this same flight on the 2nd October and our visibility was bad but this is really bad and very gusty.As a passenger you don't appreciate just how fast a plane lands or how much is given to landing safely.Hats off to all the crew and thank you for posting this.Jet2 rule!
