I've been a john fan, but these interviews josh has given really showcase how humble and genuine he is. I have acknowledged that he has a major talent.
Just few people can see that this guy SAVED the band when John left . AND wrote songs for the albums very well indeed . Where was his mistake ? SOME PEOPLE ARE SO POISONED HEARTS .

1. this just made my day..I litrally wait everyday for a new interview with Josh. 2. I just kept smiling like an idiot this whole interview. 3 . m I do only one who kept staring at his hand n thinking shit his hands r gorgeous. 4. he was so funny n relaxed n so confident I'm loving watching this side of him emerge full force. 5 . n the expression he made at the end when as he waved at Chad in the story...good lord...i melted. 7 . I’ll 3rd this-my admiration for him and his work keeps growing even knowing about the friendship and look at how he landed in a spot he can shine in- I’ll def follow him forever he has so much talent and I can only hope for him to allow himself to be comfortable with integrating a dash of star power-he’s undeniably and altrock god.

Who knew at that time that Josh would come out with a great solo project a few years later!
I feel like he was frustrated because they wouldn’t give him much writing options or for him to come up with new riffs or lyrics .. while Frusciante gets to pretty much write all the songs he wants from scratch as he did so much before.
RHCP fan since around 2008, grew up listening to by the way and Californication but IWY was THE album for me because it was the new stuff from this band that was becoming my favorite ever. In all honesty I love JF and his guitar playing is an incredible inspiration for me and I think that BSSM is one of my favorite records in the world, but JK never felt like a replacement or fill-in, simply another chilli pepper. I have always loved and appreciated his guitar parts, as much as they have been censored in production with Rubin and as much as they have been clearly put in the back burner for The Getaway. At first I thought it was just Josh's style: guitars that blend in and that add subtle arrangements that make a song whole, instead of taking a complete front-seat, protagonist role. But I've been listening to a lot of interviews lately, and my opinion has changed. Although Josh is always respectful despite how dirty they did him after a decade of love and hard work, the truth seeps in and it's evident to me that they never appreciated his artistry. I'm Beside you, which I am convinced JK had much more authority over, is a masterpiece and some of the songs are my favorites of all time. His solo work as Pluralone and his music with JF and Chad clarify his creative energy as a powerful force that was always subdued by the chilli peppers. I have so much, so much love for the four of them, frusciante included. I have cried and become a better person many times because of their beautiful music, but the selfishness and the egotism of some of these decisions, moves, and production choices during Josh's tenure truly break my heart.
