- Christmas 2021 will ring in an unconventional stitch along called The Study of the Journey. It is rare for a paid pattern to be filmed but as a tutorial host and our other Study of Series are filmed, I felt it was important to film this to lend support to our community.
The blanket is a journey of stitches I have learned since 2008. It's a heavy mix of textures that will have you feeling an incredible sense of pride. A tremendous amount of thought when into the execution of the ordering and colours. Designed with only 3 colours.
To follow this along with written words or diagrams provided, you will need your own copy of our book where written instructions and diagrams are available to you.

Just finished my first crochet blanket and I’m working on my second. I plan on tackling this afghan next 😍 I’ve surprisingly put my canvas projects on hold as I’ve fallen in love with crocheting

I purchased the book and I love reading about the history behind the Crochet Crowd. I think I joined soon after you were sponsored by Red Heart ( when they were owned Coats & Clark before Yarnspirations bought them) and have stayed since then. I’ll save these videos to a playlist so I can follow along after the holidays. I’m trying to learn to pace myself with crochet as I have moderate carpal tunnel syndrome and can’t crochet for hours like I used to do. But I can’t wait to start this sometime next year. ☺️

This was so Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. I have never learned how to read a pattern and appreciate your tutorial. I love the name of the pattern. And cant wait to try it. I love this pattern..I have 2 going at the same time. One like the tutoral and one like the one in Mikey's book. Oh yea, ordered yarn for a third. LO Fantastic job Mikey. I think you should do paid pattern considering all the work that goes into it.
People won’t pay for a paid pattern. We tried many years ago and people want patterns for free and email me horrendous messages fir asking fir payment. So I don’t bother.

Tried this 4x cannot keep the appropriate count only got 15 v stitches. Another Got to row 22 had to many flag looking stitches 5 extra. Like how! The other one was so easy

I did not want to buy MORE yarn, but this design looks so very cool in the bulkier weight. Well....to the internet! Thanks for the video. Some of the design was not immediately intuitive to me.
You don't need to... if you have the. yarn on hand, you may be able to make it work. We did the prototype with #4 Medium Weight Yarn.

I cannot remember but the link in the video takes you to the landing page. I recorded all of that there. I think the video description may have hook and brand too.
Is it OK to follow the book when changing colors? The video has you changing row three but in the book it doesn’t change until row four?
I am changing colours spontaneously. I mentioned to change the colours when you feel appropriate.

I am starting this with 3 colors of Paintbox chunky but, I love the colors you chose at random in the video. Just looking at the thumbnails makes my heart sing. So I plan to make a second one.
