Kyle it is great to see your dad in more shows. You guys work great as a team. I lost my dad 25 years ago. Watching you guys work together brings back memories of working on different projects with my dad. You have a great weekend, Another thing when are you going to show us another fishing trip on the channel?
Thanks Roy! Sorry you don't have your dad with you anymore. We usually have a great time working together. I would love to do a fishing video sometime soon!
Those hubs are a tremendous upgrade. I have to admit, I wasn't satisfied with how you'd painted them originally. This is night and day, as far as improvements go. Awesome to see you and your dad working together. A good father makes all the difference in a man's life. ETA: Pop's got good sense, planing those boards is another huge improvement.
Kyle, I cant believe how you have transformed that beast. How cool is that. So nice to see you with your pops working together, those are memories that won't soon be forgotten. Family is where its at !! Blessings my brother, excellent work !! 👍🦾
Next time to prevent runs and get higher adherence to substrates… spray a light dusting coat let tack up which is by the time you finish dusting it’s ready for top coats then simply go back and top coat with covering pattern… this will dramatically increase your coverage, reduce runs, and create a stronger bond to substrate.
I like watching your videos. I never know what you are about to do next. I sharpen knives for myself and friends. I never charge anything for it I just like doing it and watching their reaction. It has taken me many years to develop the skills to sharpen but now that I know how, it is rewarding for me. Great job on the truck.
My first vehicle was also a Ranger, but a 1991. Friends were always quick to call shotgun, since nobody wanted to sit sideways on the foldout seats, apparently they didn't feel safe.
I enjoyed the video. Great progress on the project. I got one little tip/advice though. You really should use a torque wrench on the lug nuts and tighten in a cris cross pattern. There's a good chance they're under-torqued right now, depending on what your impact is rated for. Especially on trucks that see work, it's always a good idea to torque to the proper value. For 3/4 or 1 ton trucks it's pretty tight, probably tighter than you might think.
I share your enthusiasm and excitement. I paint cars for a profession and there is nothing like stepping back after the last coats have been applied and the last pieces put together to enjoy the fruits of labor. Awesome job, Kyle. 👍
Been eating corn on the cob for the past 2 weeks here on the mainland - hope you are getting some on the Rock and have or are about to try the BBQ after soaking style of roast corn on the cob.
She’s turning into a sweet unit for sure Now the exhaust is it in under or a stack 🤔 Maybe a winch on the deck 🤭 Traction got self tapping deck screws if get any cupping boards
At 23:27 that steel lug plate and the mating surface are rusting. Rust is the enemy. They should be cleaned and brushed with Fluid Film or something like it. Also never saw the lug nuts torqued.
I love how happy you are with the wheels. Not my taste, I liked the black wheel look myself. But loved the deck, the crane, and of course the commentary. I didn't see the second camera - you got two with that pack, right? Looking forward to the next video - keep up the good work!
Pacific Dualies has wheel covers for many vehicles. Definitely worth looking into! www.pacificdualies.com/

The original black paint was to cover the rust until I could get some kind of covers! VERY happy with the results!

Nice work Jeff! Thanks for watching!
They say something about "making a silk purse from a pig's ear".
You have really taken this to a new level.
Take care Kyle
Haha She's a good old girl. I'll be a little saddened when there is nothing left to do with it!
beautiful job on the truck. one thought. maybe next time, stain the boards before mounting so you can get every inch top and bottom
I was thinking the same thing.
Not a bad idea!
My first vehicle was also a Ranger, but a 1991. Friends were always quick to call shotgun, since nobody wanted to sit sideways on the foldout seats, apparently they didn't feel safe.
Haha Those little seats are pretty terrible! 89-92 brought the best Ranger generation!
Like the guitar you have made up there in the background, looks pretty awesome!

Thanks Mark!
Knives and cars is my kind of channel. Great build.
Sweet! Sadly, my channel is mostly comprised of knife guys, so the vehicle content sorta' tanks... but I'll keep doing it because I love it!
I can see that Christmas came early this year 😊. Your truck looks awesome 😎
Yessir Ronnie!

Centre cap retaining screws?!? I’ve had to jump into ditches to retrieve my centre caps back in the day. Held on by hope, I believe.
Haha Yea, I'm pretty excited about this design!
You are putting that rusty center plate back on top of SS?
😎
yes, NO KNIFE!!!
Sorry Tom..I'll get back to the knife content as soon as possible!
Oh great more ideas for my truck build 🙄 🙃
