ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From Emmy-winning executive producer Dick Wolf and co-creator Derek Haas comes Season 10 of the drama "Chicago Fire." This adrenaline-fueled ride is a look into the lives of Firehouse 51's firefighters and paramedics as they risk their lives to save and protect the citizens of Chicago.
Led by Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), the Truck and Rescue Squad companies are more than co-workers, they're family.

Herrmann did the right thing. The only reason Brett did what she did was because Herrmann asked her to. She would not be in trouble if not Herrmann had not called her and asked her to "dispatch" her ambulance to his location. You don't ask you friends to break the rules on your behalf, then let them take the blame and punishment for doing so. That is what being a stand up man is all about. You protect those you put at risk.

To be fair, he didn't ask her to break protocol. He simply forgot. I'm pretty sure he knew the protocol with him being more experienced than some of the others. I also agree that he did the right thing.

@irena popovic they already did try to replace Jesse by having Brett Dalton come on board as Lt Jason Pelham. Jesse actually just took a sabbatical after 18yrs coz he's settling down and raising his new kid with his wife. He's actually indicated returning later in the season.

@@raulbetancourt5795 true. I will admit rules were broken, but this guy can't even take into consideration that a little boy would have died. And it's the same thing with Dawson too, even though Dawson broke the rules she did it to save somebody's life.
True but he has a good reason. They were 2 ambulances in a situation where they only had to be one. The other once could have responded to another call and if it hadn't, while this was never stated, another person's life might have been in danger.
I loved Herman in every scene
If she didn't break protocol that kid would've died and the blame for cause of death would be the city for a poor job of taking care of their constituents
Exactly and the thing is the brass knows protocol in certain situations causes the death of those that these people work everyday to save.
I understand the process of properly managing resources is key during manpower shortages but it’s damned if you and damned if you don’t

Gotta love how he shows up and is super by the book. Makes absolutely sure this sticks to Herman then breaks workplace rules with Violet. That's why black and white with rules never works.
