Michael was the very best impression of Elvis
He looks the most like Elvis, but Austin Butler did the best job of anyone except Shawn Klush, the best !!

I saw elvis and me the other night and this came along I never knew both existed and I gotta say this guy that's playing elvis did a much better job than all the current actor's who played him it's not to say they were terrible it's that some look more like him than all the others.

I agree my opinion is this Michael St Gerard was the only actor that looked almost like Elvis, no other actor who has played Elvis, has come close to looking like Elvis, not even Austin Butler. I really wish they would have kept this series going right up until Elvis's death in 1977.

@@sandrahernandez569 poor ratings I think it could have gotten better, I love to see a netflix series done on Elvis's life, didn't really like the new Elvis bio with Austin Butler.
I haven't read all the comments but a few of them that I press like because I do agree it should be on DVD the miniseries Michael did a wonderful job he had a similar demeanor as Elvis did and of course he does not look exactly like Elvis nobody can but nobody can really look like anybody else but his demeanor and over all appearance and it's great acting ability.. please put it on DVD mini series was great

They should've called this show "Elvis: Sun Days." Because it only really takes place in 1954 - 1955. It's a really great show!

I just found a VHS tape I made of this series when this was on TV; 14 commercial free episodes! and my VHS player still works…

And the fact that they were really playing the instruments. I prefer movies like that as opposed to instrument sync. :p. Ronnie McDowells singing was great and Michael did great

While I enjoyed the recent Elvis movie. I couldn't help thinking how much better it would have been if Michael St Girard was playing Elvis. Hope he's doing well!

I have this series on dvd, picture quality is poor, wonder if I'd get in trouble putting on yt. Dang, google music can't identify this first song. I've been an Elvis fan for 56 years, there has never been anyone like Elvis, and it seems there will never will be.

The movie should have been made with Michael years ago. "Good Rockin tonight" was made in the eighties, not 1990. And it's very strange that this great mini series showing the 50's Elvis only, is not available on genuine dvd. Only pirate versions. ?

It was a series back in the 90's called, Elvis The Early Years. I tuned in and watched the whole series. Michael St. Gerard came pretty close to looking like more Elvis than anyone I've seen yet, though he was no Elvis.
That said, he was pretty cute in his own right. I enjoyed the series very much and thought it ended kind of abruptly. I was sad when it ended because I wanted to see more. 🤗

I think it was Millie Perkins who played his mom and she also co-stared with him when she was young in the movie Wild in the Country
great series but the woman playing his mom was too young, thin, and did not look like his real mother.

The Elvis movie,is rattled,too opinionated and one sided. I didn’t like the way it jumped around. Butler is a good actor,but the film rode over him. There is a purity and focus to Michael St.Gerard’s Elvis.
