Good afternoon, your videos are always informative. I am having a problem with 2008 Honda Odyssey (290k miles). I have replaced alternator twice, but check charging system and battery light pops up with VSA light too and sometimes it's self and goes away usually. I replaced the battery, battery terminals, checked the motor oil, checked the fuses, checked the ELD( electronic load detector) everything thing seems fine. The alternator I got replaced twice is remanufactured bought from Advance auto parts. Got inspected the battery and alternator from AutoZone. They are charging fine. Personally, checked the alternator performance by removing negative terminal while car is in start and idle position, car doesn't shut off. Is there anything I am missing to find the issue? I forget to mention that the ground wires seems okay too, because it never drains a battery even if I start the car after two days. Head lights doesn't flicker's either!

Hi, I have a BMW 318i e46 1995cc when im driving along the road it like stalls to 1200rpm's it can be for 3 seconds to 30 seconds it just slows right down into a limp mode or wont move at all then all of a sudden it goes fine again but it does it regularly. I have had it into a BMW specialists noone can come up with codes. So Im having this problem NO CODES? 6 garages and a BMW computer diagnostics nothing yet it still does it the eccentric shaft and all was replaced MAF TPS airbox has a leak replaced. Any Ideas??

Does everyone else have meters that read 0 ohms resistance, mine are pretty cheap and read about .5 ohm where there is good continuity. :) Edit; just got out my 'Ideal' multi meter, its pretty good, but reads 2ohms best continuity...shrugs....
I changed the two front seats for my 2007 mkx , and the vehicle won't start though it run perfectly fine before the installation. The dome light won't shut off and the high beam on the instrument cluster stays on. I need help fixing these. Any advice will be welcome,

Use 9v small battery... 12v car battery is dangerous and may explode if wires get short accidentally while connecting to relay

Very helpful, thank you, just tested the relay for starter motor, knew it was activating but also now know that it is zero resistance.

If you want to test a 220V relay, you need 220V line voltage (power supply)

without the power the relai does not connect so you would have complete resistance anyway

If it moves, clean the contacts, corrosion could be the simplest cause.

Real beginner here. You didn't show how the wires go into the multimeter. There are three holes in mine. I think I eventually figured it out.

I had a relay that clicked and ohmns dropped to almost zero when energized and it still was a bad relay. Carbon buildup?
Relay aren’t supposed to have any resistance.

It's so damn hard to test a relay if you're working alone, what I do is I either switch it or replace it instead of all this none sense of testing
